Breaking Bad - Part 1

Golden Globes once again give Breaking Bad the shaft. Sure, Cranston got a nomination, but he's unlikely to win, as the GG's are a popularity contest. No nomination for Drama Series or Supporting Actor is a huge snub IMO.

Just a pathetic screw job what else.

Boardwalk to sweep the Globes

What?!

Aaron Paul deserves that award!

And Season Four was EPIC! After watching it, I couldn't even watch other TV shows because Breaking Bad just shows how bad the other shows I watch are.

I still haven't seen Boardwalk Empire, so I can't pass judgment on that.

The Globes are nothing more than an adult MTV Movie Awards, they're just for the studios to promote their films/TV shows and to create content for the media. While the Emmys were giving the Best Actor award to Cranston three years in a row, the Globes didn't even give him a single nomination. Forget about them.

Not really an important post, but it strikes me as interesting how different (in both appearance and age) Bryan Cranston looks without his Breaking look.

He has very symmetrical features...

I have been extremely late to this show. I've been playing super catch up and finished up Season 3 last night and this is easily one of the best shows that I've seen in a LONG time. Just wow.

I have been hearing how nuts the fourth season is and after the way the third season ended I really DON'T know how they got to a fourth season! It's going to be insane to see how this fourth season opens up for me. :wow:

The 4th season really stepped it up, It's shocking to see a show that has no filler episodes, some say the Fly episode was one but the ending really tighten up loose ends on the characters.
I really can't wait for this final 5th season. :woot:

the fly was good, the tension that built up. It also has the best funny part of the season with walter.

Not only that, but it was the first time in a loooong time we got to see Walt and Jesse together. I never understood why people hated that episode lol.

LOL, I just watched that one last night. :p I thought it was very personal between the two of them and one of the best of that season.

I've got about two episodes into the fourth season now and holy crap. Just absolutely insane! Really didn't see things going that way at all and this relationship between Walt and Gus is going to be TENSE! Can't wait to see where that goes.

Also...I really liked the fly episode too. It was more character development between Walt and Jesse than anything. It was also hilarious because Walt was desperately obsessed with killing that fly.

Finally watched Cranston's X-Files episode "Drive". It was written by Vince Gilligan and convinced him that Cranston was the only one who could play Walter White. Didn't remember any of it from the sixth season of The X-Files but it was one of the better standalone episodes. Cranston was great in it, and made me rediscover how great the series was.

If you can find it and watch it.

I finally started watching this show after hearing all the accolades about it on SHH. Me and the wife finished the first three seasons on Netflix in about as many weeks (the holiday downtime helped), and we just got done with episode five of the 4th season.

Marvelous show. Although I think we should have metered it out a bit more, since once we're done with season 5, it's going to be a LOOOOOONG wait for the next season.

Lucky for you, there's only been FOUR seasons, lol. The fifth is coming up next. :)

I'm about 7 episodes into the fourth season now and this is probably the most tense show that I've ever watched. Dexter is tense but this takes tension to a whole other level. So many great storylines going on all at the same time and the character development is just top notch stuff.

You have no idea, once you get to the Crawl Space episode you'll come back here with this face:

My favorite was the last episode, "Showdown", I think it's called. The season had an awesome end, but I just wonder what will happen in season 5? Will he get caught or get away with it, and will he stop producing meth? I wonder if the power will get to him and he'll abandon his previous persona altogether.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly how my face was at the ending of the fourth season. Just wow. Were they not planning on having a fifth season or something? Because the way it all ended seemed to wrap things up in a way. I really don't know how their going to go from here in the fifth season but I guess the way things went down there are some open ended things still out there.

Still...what a great show. It's no wonder Cranston won all those Emmy's for this...dude if freakin' amazing on this.
