Yeah, he gets rid of it in episode 2. I didn't remember what happened to the tape either until I did a rewatch recently and I remember thinking before I got to that part "Hey, it would be cool if that tape turned up again in the finale". Alas, it was not to be.

Just noticed, had my post for this thread typed up for the NFL Thread, and vice versa.

I was going to mention a theory that I came across, that a guy on a forum I read proposed that the series will end with a reveal that Walter is telling the story of the show while testifying in court during his trial. Would be a fitting end imo.
