Breaking Bad - Part 2

They showed Walt opening the trunk three times. Once in the flash-forward, and twice in present-day. Did you notice the last item he locks in his car? That's right. The plant.

So, I'm calling it now- Future Walt is prepping for a final showdown with his former student, Jesse Pinkman.

I'm saying the exact same thing man! We've been thinking it's gonna be Hank vs Walt & Jesse but I think in the very end it will definitely be Jesse finding out about everything Walt has done and going for blood

They're already planning the seeds for it. Walt is just too arrogant to realize it.

Saul is VERY likely to spill the beans to Jesse at some point. And Mike is definitely going to side with Jesse.

I think Jesse's revenge will be introducing Walt Jr to meth. And then all hell will break loose.

Oohh! That's an awesome prediction there my man! I'm gonna have to say that I think it's a very likely possibility. Walt Jr is the wild card here that I'm wondering about the most. What is he gonna do when he finds out? Will he be instrumental in Walt's demise? Mike has it in for Walt too, something is going on here with Gus we aren't privy to just yet. Just like last year when Mike beat the **** out of Walt for suggesting he help him kill gus. When that happened there was this massive sense of loyalty behind Mike's actions and I wanna know why that is. It was further shown tonite when Mike kept telling Jesse and Walt both they don't know what they've done. I'm thinking (and really we already have seen it) that the explosion and Gus' death is gonna play a big part in Walt's downfall. I also think Hank is gonna find out about Walt but it's gonna end up being extremely hard on him especially when he finds out some things about Walt saving his life n stuff like that. Hank really thinks a lot more of Walt than Walt does of Hank and that is gonna be a major factor in his downfall as well.

It just hit me that threatening Saul Goodman at this point is a novice mistake, and is incredibly stupid on Walt's part. But he's blinded by his own arrogance. Saul is obviously connected, since he set up their partnership with Gus in the first place, and would sell out anyone to save his own skin. Not to mention the fact I think Saul started to like Jesse, and feels guilty about poisoning Brock.

Walt just messed with three people that shouldn't be messed with and he doesn't even realize it.

Meth and pancakes, yo.
But seriously - I doubt Jesse would do this because as dark as it's going to get for him, I believe he is still good. Walt on the other hand...

But he's blinded by his own arrogance.

Can you blame the guy? He just outplayed Gus Fring. :woot:

True. However I can see Jesse teaching Walt Jr. how to cook...

bacon.

Although it will never happen because Jesse is a sympathetic foil to Walt at this point, it would be cool if Hank found out about Walt at the same time Jesse found out about Walt poisoning Brock, and then Jesse proceeds to kill Hank so he can have Walt to himself.

Like I said, would never happen, but what a development that would be.

And I don't see why Walter Jr. would do it in the first place. Trying to get beer is one thing, but meth?

That's one thing I'm hoping for this season, some Jesse and Skylar/Walt Jr interactions.

Man it's so good to have the show back, I love the cold flash forward opening scene. I get the vibe from Walt's demeanor like he's broken, or lost the purpose to live, his family must've left him at that point or worse, I'm so excited to see the journey that'll lead us to there, the reign of Heisenberg won't last long.

And I thought Gus is only able to watch a stream of the lab from his laptop and not that it actually saved the vids in the hard-drive, he's a very cautious person so it's dangerous having the laptop there in his office when he's not around, but I guess you could say that maybe he didn't even think that he stands a chance to be brought down, and I do wonder if Hank had the hard-drive already removed by the time Walt and Jesse did the truck magnet thingy.

Walt's ID is a fake and he has a new identity, which means he's left his family. He's living in the west, too, at that point.

I got that impression as well. Based on the way Walt spelled out his age with bacon like Skylar did, and the way he said "It's my birthday." to the waitress, I'm predicting that at that point at the very least Skylar has been murdered or killed in some way and during the cold open Walt is back in ABQ from wherever he's been hiding for a final showdown with whoever caused his wife's death.

I thought about that as well. Let's say that the cameras didn't record video, but instead took a still shot every few minutes (why a supposed criminal mastermind like Gus would record proof of his illicit activity is beyond me) and Hank is looking through these photos, seeing two unidentified figures in yellow hazmat suits milling about, and then the final picture is this:

Boom. Quick shot of Hank's reaction. Cut to black. Credits. That would make a pretty good mid-season cliffhanger. :woot:

It's also scary to think of the possibility if (and that's a big if) Walt might be responsible for that himself, it's a bold predication for sure and I can't wait to see what'll be the cause of that, also I wonder if Walt's going to kill Ted, just because of his ego. That'd really make Skylar realized even more what a true monster Walt has become, even if Ted said he'd keep his word.

I could also imagine Gus' idea of if he's leaves the laptop there in his office and in any case he dies, then everyone else involved is going down as well. I was thinking the same thing, the look on Hank when they're tagging and bagging the laptop shows that he's very interested to know what's in there? But yeah I'd love if that's the way Hank finally knows, his reaction alone would be priceless.

I'm guessing Walter swapped cars at the end of the prologue, so does that mean he's going to use the element of surprise? Very powerful people are coming for him. What if Jesse gains an alliance with the Cartel?

And, oh man, what is Walt going to do about Ted?

Umm...didn't Gus pretty much kill the entire cartel?

Where does everyone stand with Hank? Does he or does he not suspect Walt is Heisenberg or at the very least involved with the blue meth in some capacity?

Last season he shot Walt an awful lot weird side glances when they were going on their little car rides to spy on Gus. And he had a very concerned look on his face when they were bagging the laptop, almost like he was afraid what he would find on there.

The sneak peak for next week seems to imply that Hank is starting to suspect Walt. Dem eyes.

I don't think Hank at all suspects Walt still, but I don't think that's going to last very long.

Hmm...I didn't see the preview for next week. Is it on AMC's site?

The Cartel is much larger than just Eladio and his capos.
But that was pretty much all of the upper management of the Cartel shown on Breaking Bad. I'd imagine they're still putting the pieces back together, then maybe come back and get revenge when everyone forgets about them. :o

Great season premiere! Walt is becoming my favorite character.

Prediction. Walt kills Jesse at the end of this first half of the season. Then that will be the start of the downfall of Walt because Jesse was the last person he could kind of count on. Maybe Jesse comes back next year as a phantom to Walt. Maybe Walt's cancer does spread to his brain, like Jesse's aunts'.
