Breaking Bad - Part 2

Very extremely mild spoilers, but according to Vince Gilligan [BLACKOUT]this next episode is going to be one of the two "holy ****!" episodes for the first half of the season[/BLACKOUT].
Interesting. So are we just assuming that episode 8 will end with a bang, just to give us something good to go out on? Even if it might not necessarily have been in Vince's original plans when he wanted a 16-episode season? I'm still not quite sure whether this is "season five" or just "season five, part 1".

the split of the final season gives the creators the possibility to participate in two more emmy awards..

Don't get me started man! A whole year wait just for that?!?! I'm sorry but I take my television very seriously and all my mind can think of is "What if I get in a ****ing car crash and die before Breaking Bad ends!!!!!" I can't help it, it's right where my mind goes lol

Vince and his writers only started working on the final 8 episodes on Aug.6 so having a break is probably the best thing for the series. They saw all this love from fans and reactions to the first few episodes so the pressure is on to deliver.

When the final episode ends and if it delivers will we care about waiting 10.5 months for the final 8?

I think it's worth the wait...not to mention I want to do another Breaking Bad marathon before 5.2 shows up.

the split of the season was already plant..

but i dont have any probs with the break. as long as we get a great ending that satisfies everyone, i would even wait longer..

Aww man I hope I don't die until this is finished, once its over I can die a happy man :o

I wonder if Gale's murder will ever be solved by the authorities.

I didn't catch it, but supposedly "Gale" was spelled out in the window behind Lydia when the DEA visited her.

^ That would make more sense. I did notice Gale on the evidence board in the last episode though.

Anyone else think that the unforgiveable act Walt commits this season.......

....is that he murders Huell?

Come on, that would just be plain cold.

I am just waiting for that fateful moment when Walter White's face goes up on that board.

I can't decide if Hank finding out about Walt or at least having some solid evidence Walt is doing dirty stuff should be the climax for this year's episodes or if that should be for next season. After all, i can't imagine it would be difficult for Hank to apprehend Walt once he knows the truth.

My fantasy end to the series would be Walt holding his M80 on some desolate road, injured from crashing his car after a serious chase with the police, having lost his family and Jesse to his own misdeeds. He cries and laughs and screams out as the sirens get closer. He loads and cocks the gun, aims, camera goes down the barrel then BOOM end of series.

It's lame but i like the dichotomy of beginning and end being connected. 3 more days!!

That's one thing that's been freaking me out lately. Walt wearing the hat out in public!?!?!? I thought he knew about the sketch?? Not sure though, I'm calling it now, Hank seeing Walt wearing the hat one day is gonna make him do a double take and it's all downhill from there.

Hell yes he will man! This show has already gone down in history and you know the ending sure as hell will!

I feel like the show has peaked. We all know what we are watching now. This is the downfall of Walter White. He won't get away. He will most likely go down shooting, as shown in that flash forward. Don't get me wrong, I still love this show, but I feel like they shouldn't have shown that flash forward. From the look of that, it looks like everyone will die and Walt is going out for some revenge. We know he changes his identity, so that points to him being found out. And he lives to his 52 birthday, that's a whole 'nother year!

I think the show will pick up from that flash forward, next summer. The end of this first half will end with Walt calling the guy that disappears people. Then next year it picks up before his 52 birthday and why he is going back to New Mexico with that M60.

I think there has to be some kind of another bad guy that we haven't seen yet. Maybe someone from Mexico or something.

I don't know if anyone remembers that episode, "Negro Y Azul," but in it, it tells that Heisenberg dies (in the music video), and I believe that Jesse will go under the guise of Heisenberg and get himself killed.

The bad guy will be the head of Madrigal played by Werner Herzog...

...if I can dream.

I'm sure Walt buying that machine gun is gonna be subverted by the writers. It seems to on the nose what with them watching Scarface.

I could see the 52nd birthday being episode 12 of season five, having it start the final four episodes of the series. Gilligan has said the audience will have to be patient to catch up to that time period, we may not see that this year.
