I can't believe that no one has brought up the conflict of interest Hank will have, when he realizes drug money is what paid for all his medical and living bills.
I think Walt runs and changes his identity because Hank lets him go at first.

I really can't see Hank letting Walt go no matter the reason. I do think it will hit Hank incredibly hard once he figures it all out. I honestly see Jesse and Hank teaming up in the end in some way to take down walt

I think Hank is going to flip a few tables when he finds out Walt is Heisenberg.

I honestly think Hank would be willing to see his career go potentially down the toilet if it meant bringing in Walt. I get the feeling that Hank will be content, no matter how things go down, as long as he takes down Heisenberg.

I dunno man, I think he is gonna be more hurt than anything at first then disappointed in himself for not realizing it earlier. What would be really great is if at least one ****ing character at least finds out somehow just how far out Walt's actions have reached ie the mid air collision and whatnot

That's a good point. I never even thought of that.

Plus Hank would be too embarrassed to work at the DEA in a demoted role or have his drive crushed.

The betrayal, deception, and anger would destroy him. He put his sister-in-law, nephew, niece and wife in danger. The Cousins attacked him partially because of Walt, that is a grey area because Hank did kill Tuco. Still he would be a wreck. Depending on how things go the DEA would suspend him initially, I would think. There would be guilt for taking him on that meth bust, feeling disgusted that Walt paid his medical bills, feeling impressed that Walt pulled that all off, plus his desire to arrest him for everything he did.

I don't know, I mean, I know Hank knows Walt, but he is not THAT close with him. In fact, he's kind of a dick sometimes.

I don't see that. I think Hank considers Walt one of his closest friends. Remember all the time they spent together last season on their little stake outs n what not. I'm with Shifty though, I think once he is positive about things and it really hits him the extent of Walt's machinations is just gonna destroy him emotionally. And then, all that hurt and pain is gonna turn into anger and I think he's gonna be out for blood. I think he may put all the pieces together about the blue dope and Walt being Heisenberg and realizing that Jesse maybe works for Walt and then he's going to confront Jesse and somehow convince Jesse to help him. Something, I dunno but I think something like this may go down

I think there are plenty of reasons for Hank to let Walt go. His job/reputation being one of them.

I know I know, but the relation doesn't go further than what you described. Is not like they get together every day, watch tv, and laugh. Their relationship is purely based on the fact that they are family, you know what I mean?

I got ya but they are still extremely close. Whether it's as family or as friends Hank has made it clear that he's there for Walt even if him and Skyler aren't together. I seriously think when Hank finds out if Dean Norris doesn't offer up an Emmy worthy performance then he needs to be shot lol. I seriously see it destroying Hank mentally and emotionally.
