Breaking Bad - Part 3

Lol, I had texted my friend 'Noooo (vader style)' after the episode ended.

At least Mike went out with dignity, like a man.
Reminds me of the movie The Shootist.
The John Wayne character tells Ron Howard that you might be the best trigger man in the world but it will be some clumsy lucky punk who will get you in the end.

Walt's actions were more of passion, of anger at being disrespected, of being called the greedy arrogant screw up that he has become.
Mike told him the truth and implied what Walt fears, that he is not the great man of intellect, the great man of family, the great provider. Walt is just going to get his family killed before he dies, and corrupt the rest of the people around him as well...how many times has he dragged people down his black hole of self destruction? Mike wanted out, Saul wanted out, Jesse, Skyler, and yet Walt keeps spitting in the wind, the futility of feeling that he is important and a great man of action.

I'm impressed by the sly way the writers have achieved all this.

I have a feeling Walt is going to tell Jesse about him killing Mike, not helping Jane, and poisoning Brock in one of his egotistical rants some time next half of the season. I don't know why or when but I can see Walt doing it to get a rise out of Jesse.

I do indeed think Walt would be that arrogant and have thought the same as well. I almost expect it. Maybe the irony of all this is that in the end Walt wants Jesse to kill him without realizing or caring how much that's going to screw up Jesse, further spreading what I call Walt's "soul cancer."

So, was what happened tonite the big spoiler everybody was going on about?? I'm just curious. I wonder what kinda cliffhanger they are gonna leave us on next week. At this point I have no idea what to think

I don't know why all the hate for Heisenberg? Walter White was a coward his whole life and essentially a failure. As Heisenberg he is a revered and feared Kingpin. What we're seeing here is a true decent into villainy. (Scarface reference in the previous eps)

There's only one way this will end for him.

I almost don't want Sunday to come because then it will be a long year for fresh episodes

Is this rhetorical, cause you seem to have answered it for yourself.

That lawyer was an uncharacteristic loose end on Mike's part, can't believe he'd put that much trust in a guy that would flip so easily.

As soon as I saw the preview for the episode, my whole stomach felt like it had a knot. I knew time was up for Mikey.

Not sure how I feel about the episode, especially the last 10 minutes...They seem rushed or something. Mike's character was never that blindsided. He would never let Walt meet him alone. The MIKE I know, would easily disguise himself to go to the car where he parked and take his bag and simply disappear. No way, he would Saul Goodman after he went through a ****** lawyer.

That was not the Mike I know....

As for Walt

Well, maybe Gilligan felt he was letting the pressure get to him or something with all the **** that was going on and it made him sloppy, albeit subconsciously.

Maybe Mike is a ghost now and he will possess Walt Jr and beat the crap out of Walt with those crutches.

I wasn't surprised by the ending at all. I didn't expect Walt to let Mike just slip away.
Jesse and Skyler are DEFINITELY gonna join forces at the end, they have too much in common now. And that look they gave each other at the Wash...:D
I can the show ending with Skyler or Jesse flipping on Walt.

I have to get to that.

Mike has underestimated Walt many times, this one just finally did him in. Fuels Walt's annoyance of getting no respect for him.

Walt snapped for a 2nd time (first was crawl space) I wonder how many more times he will be put under that.
