It doesn't jive with his actions later in the episode of course, but this is what popped into my head during this scene.

Aaron Paul is filming the new Nick Hornby movie in London right now with Imogen Poots and Pierce Brosnan .

^I was hoping that was Julet, Naked but A Long Way Down will be cool too.

I love Hornby film adaptions.

'Breaking Bad' Creator Thinking Maybe Next Season Should Take Dark Turn
http://www.theonion.com/articles/breaking-bad-creator-thinking-maybe-next-season-sh,29445/
LOS ANGELES—Following last Sunday’s Breaking Bad midseason finale, creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan told reporters that in a departure from the “light, fun tone” that has characterized the program thus far, the concluding episodes may take more of a darker turn. “Ever since the very first episode, in which [main character] Walt is diagnosed with cancer and forced to sell meth to provide for his pregnant wife and cerebral-palsy-stricken son, I’ve thought that perhaps one day we could begin taking the show in a grittier direction,” said Gilligan, adding that while the program’s ongoing depiction of a man slowly succumbing to an illegal lifestyle defined by power, violence, and alienation was fine for four and a half seasons, he “wouldn’t mind” eventually exploring some grimmer themes. “I know our audience has gotten comfortable seeing Walt regularly kill drug dealers, endanger his family, and poison small children, but, personally, I think people would be interested in seeing a slightly more sinister side to the character.” Gilligan’s announcement comes just weeks after fellow AMC showrunner Matthew Weiner announced it was “entirely conceivable that the next season of Mad Men may touch on how men deal with marriage.”

:lmao:

I agree the bad omens have definitely been there for Walts kids... Walt jr/constant car references and Holly/baby bear clothes.

I though when Jessie found out about Walt doing in Mike, Jessie might screw Walt up, but no longer think so.

Now Walt is dealing with Russian mobs (Training Day anyone)... Maybe with Walt being sick again and some harm having come to his family, Walt tries for one last shot at redemption and maybe the machine gun prologue is to save Jessie.

Just want to make sure I'm not wrong, but did the show goof up when the one Nazi dude said, "Bin Laden wasn't this hard to kill." ?! During what point in time does this show take place and when did Bin Laden die?

I think it's just a floating non-specific timeline. Or the show's timeline started in 2010 and ends this year. I don't remember anyone mentioning a year.

There's no specific timeline in Breaking Bad but it's for sure before 2011, so yeah there's one error in the continuity.

I thought Gilligan or someone said the show took place 2008? I don't know though.

Yeah, I swore it started in '08. And, that was why every has flip phones.

Some of the earlier season featured signs saying 2010. Roughly a year passed before this season. This latest episode jumped ahead 3 months.

Good lord! Who cares!!?!?!? One small mistake in the writing. Whoopty ****ing doo!

the flip phones are burners. meaning prepaid cellphones which are cheaper. Other characters have been seen with blackberrys too.

I remember a poster in Los Pollos Hermanos back in season three or four that said "VOTED BEST CHICKEN 2010". Another goof?
