On the killing:

Flash showed him Earth as an apocalyptic dystopia. Then he says the he's right about Superman and that "she is the key" she being Martha Kent. When Bruce realizes this he promises to save Martha at all costs not just for Clark or in memory of his mother but to avoid that dystopia. I don't necessarily agree with the killing, but to avoid the end of the world by Darkseid a couple of Lex's rent-a-mercs are a small price to pay.

Wrong

He says Lois Lane. Twice.

Snyder's take on Jim Gordon.

Jim Gordon: Jaded by futility of the police's neverending war against organized crime and corruption, as well as the corruption against the police force; Gotham Police Commissioner Jim Gordon leads a special police force that shoots down any corrupt cop, gangbanger, or mobster without mercy, and with top-notch military technology from WayneCorp. Jim Gordon is judge, jury and executioner: If you dare commit a crime or deface the Gotham Police Department's name, Jim Gordon will kill in the name of Harvey Dent's half-burnt corpse.

It'll be based on Killing Joke... Jim Gordon will try to kill Joker because he shot his daughter. Because he don't give a damn about go by book anymore. Because Older stage in his life. Alzheimer kicking. Can't remember what's written in the book or where he put the book. :o

He said
Flash says, "Listen to me now!" "It's Lois, it's Lois lane!" "She's the key! "Am I to soon?!" (The Flash Screams out in pain) "I'm too soon!" "You were right about him!" "You have always been right about him!" "Fear him!"

May I add a Daredevil who thinks more like Superman than Superman

Too be fair, DD is a bit of a hypocrite himself, but that's kind of the point of the character. Superman should not be.

Ok so I saw it and I agree with most if not all the criticisms from the RT reviews. Damn

Now these kind of reviews scare me. The people I know who should enjoy them the most not liking it. Green Lantern pt.2? NOOOOOOOOOO

I hope it does so they can softly reboot the damn thing like Days Of Future Past.

Maybe the ones we are watching now will be alternative universe in time because mainstream universe heroes will come to stop them and it'll be their story one universe from there. Nice way to wrap it up like X-Men franchise. And they can use same actors.

So we can have injustice style dictator Superman and even flashpoint-like Batman and get rid of them same time making a good flash centric JL movie.

Better than total cancellation if general audience feel like critics.

It's good that in comic book movies you can pull these stuff and it doesn't look crazy, actually might even be interesting story.

Interesting idea.

Snyder is gone.

The whole foundation for Jim Gordon and Batman is based on a central idea: that they are on the same side, and have respect for each other for the methods that they employ, even if one relies of theatricality and the other relies on corrupt laws. Do you seriously think that Jim Gordon wouldn't question or lose goodwill if he knew Batman killed? That's not making a snap judgment, that's realizing that perhaps something was wrong in Gordon's assessment of Batman.

Batman being merciless with criminals that are trying to kill him doesnt contradict any of that.

And that foundation was established 20 years ago. A lot of things have happened in those 20 years. Batman being merciless with criminals that are trying to kill him at the time of BvS doesnt make Gordon's original assessment of Batman 20 years ago wrong. It was the right assessment at the time.

I don't know what the critics are smoking. I just came from the movie and it was awesome! Did it have its flaws? Yeah, but even with those flaws it was still awesome. I was legit engaged (and giddy) throughout the movie.

It was stupid regardless. You don't kick off a universe with ASBAR Batman and kingdom.come Superman. That's just idiotic.

I dont see why starting the character off in a dark place is a bad thing. It gives the character a compelling multifilm arc to work through.

I'm going to play Devil's advocate for a second. Everyone looks fondly at Batman 89 now but when it came out, didn't the public at the time also think it was too unnecessarily dark? And Batman also straight up murders in that movie. Granted maybe not by a gun but I remember him using lethal force.

Awesome! Thanks for your opinion, man.

I am glad to read there are indeed really positive reactions.

Honestly by the sound of BvS, I think I found what should be the live action embodiment of Batman & Superman.

Batman killing and using guns really rubs me the wrong way

Yeah... It was horrible for them all :csad: They can make one with Amy Adams as well unfortunately. She was struggling . Cavill is a pro though. He is handling like a superman.

I don't know if i feel like crap or laugh. Poor Ben but hilarios video.

No. It was the biggest thing ever at the time. Only movie I can ever remember having that much worldwide influence was Jurassic Park a few years later.

Im not sure about B89, but Batman Return didnt go over well with the public. The tone and Penguine wasnt exactly what parents were expecting.:hehe:

My point is that cinematic Batman has always killed. Not defending the movie at all or Superman's portrayal. But Batman doesn't sound like he was that radical a departure from what we've already seen.

Has Batman killed? Yea but it depends how the scene is edited. We never see Batman kill someone but people could have died and may have died.

We saw Superman snap Zod's neck. We SAW IT!!!

Zack isn't that smart to edit a scene that way after we saw Superman kill.

It was Batman Returns that had the backlash you're talking about. My mom wouldn't let me see it because of that, whereas she had no problem with Batman '89.

It's context, character and exposition. Keaton Batman had depth. This one is a one dimensional stereotype

Seriously, Iron Man and Captain America will be this generation's Batman and Superman.

I'm back!

Liked bits and pieces of it. Hated it as a whole.
