If I want to see Upton's boobs, I'd check online since I doubt she'll show them in TOW. And the rest of huge movie seems lackluster.
I actually find her to be incredibly overrated. I still don't get why she gets as much press as she does. As for TOW taking down TWS, it had to happen eventually and the percentage drops is finally taking TWS below a cr@*** rom-com. Staying on top for 3 weeks is nothing to be ashamed of.

Agreed cap have prove his point

it is impressive.
But it probably helps that the humor and action in TWS was bit more balanced
than Thor 2's

I don't think this result is a revolution against humor. More like, a revolution for brilliant filmmaking.

This is a Cap fan's dream come true. He is finally getting his due with a film that not only raked in the cash but is also one of the best of the genre. Captain America has always deserved to be one of the most popular superheroes among the GA and now he finally is. It's been a long time coming but it's all the sweeter for the wait.

Everyday, I am seeing more and more Captain America's shield on T-shirts now. He's rivaling Batman and Superman now.

i have loads of marvel t-shirts but my fav white long sleeve cap shirt with the shield its awesome

For every superhero movie release I have a shirt to match
I have had a Cap tee for about 3 months and had refused to wear it until I went to see the tws lol
and I have had a dc tee with wonder woman batman and superman on it I have been holding it for about 2 years not still have the tag on it but I'm waiting till 2016.
The only tee for a super hero movie release I don't have yet it Guardians of the galaxy I'm so looking for a bad ass shirt to wear o.w

I'm surprised though the domestic take wasn't that much larger than TFA.

Actually, it's quite a bit larger. By the end of this weekend, we should be looking at around a 70%-80% increase domestically. I think, if I mathed right. This is on track for $250-$260, which should put it around 90% of the original's gross. There is an outside shot that it could go as high as $270, which would be an increase of $95-100million from the first movie. That's a pretty significant jump.

(Someone tell me whether I'm right with those numbers LOL!)

The improvement of Cap 2 is a "box office surprise" and the full extent of that is never felt until a sequel. The people who are on the fence need to know in advance that it's going to be much better in order to plan their trip. Those who go to the cinema regularly anyway can adapt more easily. For eg I have the films planned I want to watch this year (all of the last few years recently). If something else turns out to be really good that I don't know about yet or turns out to be much better than expected then I have to think about when I can fit it in and if I'm busy there's a chance I won't be able to see it (till it comes out on cable). In sum Cap 3 will be huge!

You do know there's a Gem movie coming out right? You will lose man points wearing that thing in public but I'm sure the trannies will love it. :o

Cap's domestic was only 176M so that's only a 30% increase.

It probably only has one more weekend in the top 5.

I think TWS could end its domestic run with 250 and maybe even 270 mil, and that will be more than 30% increase over TFA. And I really don't see how it would fall out of top 5 after next week, since its got great legs thus far and will probably hang around longer than other new movies.

This film has also beat IM1 and IM2 and TDW WW pulling in 30 million overseas to a total of 645 million WW

Okay, my bad with the math... But still, I don't see how the increase can be anything but disappointing.

Even if it falls out of the Top 5 after next week, it's been out for five weeks. And it's not like it's going to stop earning money. As long as it can maintain decent drops, it's already considered a major win and impressive

TWS will enter next w/e at almost $230m. It's not going to lose that many screens as it might at this point since there are several big movies, a couple which are flops which are going to shed like crazy before TWS.

If it drops 50% it would end next w/e at $8m and $238m and $250 would happen. If it drops an enormous 66% it would be at $5.3m and be at $235m, still have a chance for $250m.

A $250m domestic total is a 42% increase from TFA. That's a bigger domestic post Avengers % jump than Iron Man 1 or 2 to Iron Man 3 which included new 3D and it eclipses TDW's 14% domestic jump.

Current Itn'l jump is 117%. $450m would be a 132% increase.

Current WW increase is 74% and a $700 WW would be an 89% increase.

Man it is so satisfying to see Cap do so well here and especially in the overseas market. I know the guys at Marvel have to be very pleased with these results. My only qualm is the crappy villain they used in his solo comics that coincided with the movies release. They really could have done a better job with that, I mean Dr. Mindbubble?! WTF is that?

They should've used Dr. Zola in the comics instead.
