i doubt they will do bucky's cap costume for steve. From what we know what we see him in for uso will be straight up classic kirby first cap costume. Then we have his secondary suit which i still could see probably be a mixture of ultimates ww2 and 616 suit. Then i still say for avengers he will probably end up having a more modern 616 suit streamlined to be in line of say spider-man movie suits or something. only time will tell.

I like what they're going for here, but I'd prefer that they darken the light blue aspects of the suit. The look works, but the light blue throws it off a bit. Those circles in the chest should go too. They're not nipples, but they're unnecessary. This modern look works though. It doesn't sacrifice the classic scheme, but it updates it to make Cap's suit look like it has some practical purposes.

I Agree There's been talk of a more Jack Kirby style suit for the 1940's scenes and once he's thawed out of the ice, he'll get a new S.H.I.E.L.D themed suit

actually it was kirby inspired look for his uso suit. And then him having another suit for battlefield scenes(which i still think could end up being a modified ultimates ww2 suit). Then in avengers yea i think we are going to see a full on modern 616 cap suit.

I rather them go with something simple for the 1940 battle scenes. Very similar to what soldiers would wear who are on the front lines. Just Capn America it up with with the colors.

Take a look at Black Widow's costume in IM2. I honestly believe it would be smartest just to do something very cool with UnderArmor. For the WWII era it is VERY high tech, Olympic athletes use it, and then utilize that DragonSkin Armor that was developed for military use.

Personally for a live action move I really like the design of the Ultimate version of Captain America. It just makes more “real world” sense in it’s design and functionality; while still staying faithful to the original “classic” Cap design.
IMO they should go with the WWII Ultimate version of Cap:

and something along the lines of the new modern design… maybe S.H.I.E.L.D via Tony Stark or Reid Richards (nice little crossover mention) comes up with his modern costume to bring him more into the new era.

paradox that is why i say i think we will get an ultimates ww2 style suit when he is in battle. so it looks like cap but still something from the 40s and fits into the war theme and all that. So then when he is frozen the suit starts to detroite over the decades he is in the ice. So then when he awaken in the future his costume is torn to peices and then stark and/or shield designs him a new modern suit based off modern 616 suit and its more streamlined like say spider-man suit or even black widow's costume as i made that point before.

I saw some dudes concept, don't know who's it was....but i decided to draw the same face and body and pose and add a more modern soldier look to CAP. The digi camo...the gear...the wristand is supposed to be a comms device or whatever....the flag is supposed to look like it was spray painted on......was gonna add some wing patches to the helmet, but couldn't get it to look right...

If anyone wants, i have a copy with no color, a copy with just pants and helmet colored and a copy with everything above minus star stripes if anyone wants so they can do their own colors or change whatever...
