Cast a Thundarr Movie

Here's an interesting site I've stumbled across. Aparently a Thundarr fan (I'm guessin from Spain or Mexico because the site is mostly in Spanish) decided to Photoshop some posters for a Thundarr movie. They actually look pretty cool, and some of his casting choices aren't bad (Peter Weller as Gemini? I could see that). Anyway, here's the link.

For those of you who are reading my fan fic Thundarr & The Lost Children you'll be happy to know I'm finally over my writers block. I'll hopefully be finished writing it by next week. In the meantime, I've just finished Chapter 8 and will be starting chapter 9 soon. So give it a read and enjoy.

·Thundarr throws a woman over his shoulders and carries/rescues her
·You see or hear a U.S. or other modern world city name
·You see a ruined national monument
·The three heroes are shown mounting or dismounting their horses
·Ookla growls his trademark “Grararrararaar!”

Take a drink every time…

·You see footage of the heroes racing towards you on their horses and jumping over some obstacle in their way…
·You see a Mok other than Ookla
·Ariel makes a reference to something from “Old Earth” or the “Ancient World”
·Ookla breaks something he’s examining or holding out of curiosity
·Ariel jokes in the face of impending danger
·Thundarr chastises Ariel for joking in the face of impending danger
·Thundarr loses his Sunsword
Note: Double drinks for everyone if Thundarr has lost the Sunsword but it still appears on his bracer when he’s standing around or looking for it

Take a big chug every time…

·Thundarr says “Demon Dogs”
·Thundarr says “Lords of Light”
·Thundarr says “Ariel! Ookla! Riiiiide!”
·Thundarr says “Ariel! Ookla! To the horses!”

Note: In each of these “big chug” instances, you must thump your chest after drinking and repeat the line loudly in your best barbarian voice!

By the way, I've finished Chapter 12 of my Fan Fic. I'm hoping to be done Chaper 13 by tonight. I figure that's going to be where the story wraps up. Then I'll start writing my sequel to Tresure Of The Moks, which I call Return Of The Pirate Queen.

You know what I would love to do if I were a better artist? Take the classic Star Wars movie poster from 1977 (you know, the one where Luke is holding his lightsaber up into the air, Leia is looking all sexy, and Vader's helmet is up in the sky), and turn it into a Thundarr movie poster. Just redraw Luke as Thundarr, give the lightsaber a gold crosspiece, change Leia into Ariel, replace 3PO & R2 with Ookla, redraw Vader as Gemini, turn The Deathstar into the broken moon, get rid of the fleet of X-Wing fighters, and change the title from Star Wars to Thundarr The Barbarian. There you go, a Thundarr movie poster.

The same could be done to a Beastmaster movie poster.

Just turn Dar's sword into the Sunsword, mahe Dar look like Thundarr, make Kiri look like Princess Ariel, replace Ruh with Ookla, and replace the giant spy ring in the background with Gemini's face glaring down.

Well he's not a bad actor. He is pretty buff, though he may need to pack on a few pounds of muscle (6 months to a year training with Lou Ferrigno should do the trick). And he's a pretty good looking dude, so I'm sure the ladies would like him as Thundarr. Plus he and Kristen Kruek have good on screen chemistry. I'd go with bleeching the hair rather than a wig though.
