Cast the live-action Legend of Zelda movie

I was bored (and procrastinating writing an essay) and I edited all the 'choices' for Link onto a very good costume.

(Clockwise) William Moseley, Zac Efron (ew), Jesse McCartney, Alex Pettyfer, HAHA ORLANDO BLOOM, Cayden Boyd, Lucas Grabeel, Emile Hirsch.

That was pretty much all the choices people had listed.

Some of those make me sad and giggle at the same time.
And only 3 guys look decent for Link out of those guys. (Not the manips, just the concept really)
William Moseley, Alex Pettyfer, and Lucas Grabeel.


And Cayden Boyd needs to die. He's like the male Dakota Fanning.

The only one I can see as Link is that Narnia kid. I hate Zac Efron and Lucas Grabreel. But honestly, we already had Link in a movie -

He was pretty much the same character. He didn't speak that much, and when he did, he was just stating the obvious.

I always liked him as a choice for Link, and I hate the LotR movies. I don't understand the hate on Orlando, but he's not my choice for Link anymore.

I don't want some scrawny little teen to play Link. He should be a MAN, who looks like he could actually kick some butts. If I want to see some little kid running around with a sword I'll watch Peter Pan (which BTW was a good movie, but that's not what I want from Link).

BTW, is it stupid to want a big guy to play Ganon?

Anyway, Zelda needs to be hot. Not sure which actress would be right for the part tho.

Link has always been depicted as a teen; around 17 if I'm not mistaken, if not younger...

And he's not big or bulky in any way shape or form... If anything, he would be considered a 'young man' not a MAN like you want...

Honestly, I wouldn't HATE someone like the Rock being Ganon hahah.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want some 30 something muscle head playing Link either. I think they should cast fairly young, but I don't want some Disney escapee who's never had to exercise playing him. Link should look somewhat strong and athletic, like he'd actually be able to survive with the life he lives. They need to find the sweet spot between "rugged outdoorsy type" and "prince charming."

link should be around 25 years old, athletic build...6'0.

gannondorf should be in his 40's, strong build, 6'4

zelda should be late 20s, gorgeous, 5'7-5'8

zelda - scarlett johannson looking IMO.

link - orlando bloom wouldnt be horrible, but id rather an unknown.

gannondorf - ron pearlman

Not even close... no older than 22 for link... the guy should be able to play a teenager... even if they bring in a 27 year old who can look 18 it kills it for sequels because he'll look way too old by the 2nd and third movie... see Tobey Maguire now... no way he can play Peter Parker again. As for Zelda... I wouldn't even go higher than 21 when casting there. Gannondorf is about right according to where you have it.

chances are there wouldnt be more than one movie

if there were it would have to be done LOTR style back to back to back...which means you could us a 25 year old to play an 18-22 year old.
