I'd rather someone do that to Sylar

sylar is a much easier fix than claire....at least he is/was an interesting character. claire has never been more than a whiney teenager used to draw in all the fanboy perverts.

It was an ok episode but I wasnt excited about it. Again another spotlight on Sylar, been there done that, seen his mental/parental issues for a whole season now. Firt it was "Who are my parents? Is Angela my mommy?" then its "Wheres my father who abdanoned me" now its "you arent my realy mother but you cared about me"

Plus he keeps skipping back and forth to "do I want to be a villan or a hero?" "I want my cake and I want to eat it to" "I want more powers!"

They have just tried to develop Sylar so much to the point where there really is no reason to care about him, all he is is confusing as hell and cant be killed or beat by anyone.

The show needs to kill him off badly and move on with the next villan.

He got to the cheerleader, there is no more need for him.

Atleast with Claire, the charecter still has room to develop and improve since she is so young. They have ruined Sylar far more than they have Claire.

honestly...as long as they bring back elle bishop i could care less what they did with either of them. it seems that time i start to take an interest in a female character, the people working on heroes decide its time to kill them. first with eden in season one, then Elle, followed closely by merideth (whom i didn't care for in s1 but came to like in s3) and most recently daphne. all characters with great potential who were dropped like a pop stars baby.

So, Sylar is a shape shifting Norman Bates now? Geez...

They painted themselves into a corner by giving him a high healing factor, telekinesis, and now the ability to shapeshift. Those powers are all going to work against him, no wonder the character is a mess.

So long as he doesn't pick up time travel, Hiro could still kill him pretty easily.

^actually...that could be cool, a bunch of hiros and sylars from different tim periods jumping through the continuom to kill each other. although its confusion like that that was a big problem early on in saeson 3.

Can Hiro take out Sylar by Teleporting to the Sun? I've tried to give this show every chance, but they keep doing the same mistakes over and over, regardless who is writing it.

The Sylar/ Norman Bates crap is just lame, IMO. Worse than making John Glover a non-issue. Does anyone know how many powers Sylar has at this point? I'm sure Shapeshifting being the only one to give him issues is pretty weak.

Side note- Anyone else think that the guy should have atomized Sylar as soon as he started cutting his head?

Knowing Sylar, he would've spontaneously reformed himself just because.

You belong Dead, Sylar. That's what your supposed to be at this point.

I don't want Sylar dead, personally. I just want him to focus on something and stick with it for more than like 3 episodes. I like that he's working with the evil government agents, but then they had to drop this new identity crisis subplot on us to go along with it because, apparently, Sylar isn't allowed to just be a badass villain. He has to be conflicted about literally everything he ever does.

At this point, I'm waiting for him to step into a bathroom, go "number 1... or number 2? I CAN'T DECIDE," and then burst into flames.

You are 100% Correct. Killing Sylar is easy, and would be a dramatic improvement to the character. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of Claire. To improve her, you would need to remove her from HRG, Peter and Nathan and let her grow the F up. That's a much harder and less satisfying than decapitating Gabriel Gray.

I think don't understand the hate for Sylar...to me he is a very facinating character and now with the abilit yto shape change, it has really given a whole new dimension to the character. To me...Sylar is not only a character, but an important ELEMENT to Heroes...he's the dark edge that Heroes needs. He's an anomoly. He follows his own rules and his own ambitions. Sometimes he just gets caught up in other peoples schemes. That's what makes him so interesting.

Nothing wrong with that. He wanted to find his dad...he found him. That made him realize that he really does live for the hunt. So, he helped Danko hunt heroes. Taking the power to shape change helped him acheive this even easier, so he thought...but he had a very hard time adjusting to the changes and nearly losing his identiy...thinking about his mom helped him to achieve a bit more ground, but he's still a little messed up in the head.

Sounds like great character writing to me.

So Sylar can't die now or did Danko just missed the sweet spot? I loled at the last line.

I think since he has shifted so many times things are changing ie. the tooth. I think the "spot" has changed location.
