It's good to know Chumbawumba is also huge on Tatooine.

Dude was likely still learning himself. By the sound of things, he was still trying to find himself.
True. It's easy to forget that he didn't have the standard training that nearly every other Jedi across the series had.

Props to Shamook for earning his pay and massively improving the deepfake this time around. It's uncanny in places, and I'm sure it'll continue to improve in future.

That said... This Luke Skywalker haunts my very soul. There's no humanity in his performance, no life in his eyes, no passion in his simulated voice. I find it repulsive to be frank, eerie, stilted and disturbing. It seems like such a waste of Mark Hamill to be pursuing this hollow shell instead of an actual performance. Leia has already become a computer-generated spectre after Carrie Fisher's passing, and I really don't enjoy it happening with Luke.
I think that is what stands out the most. I've watched the OT a bazillion times. I know how Luke is. But even if I didn't, how much of a obvious "creation" he is, would be offputting. There is no performance. He's saying what Luke would say if he was, as if this was a table read and he was a stand in.

Also, Didn't know Luke was a fan of Shogun Assassin.
As Yoda taught us, we are never done learning.

How does one choose between a light sab er and mandalorian armour? :csad:

And as for Yoda’s lightsaber. This is what I just assumed as well. Makes sense.

Oh yeah, that’s a good explanation too. I know in the Soule Vader run Amedda publicly destroys Yoda’s saber. I figured it could’ve been handwaved away as a replica, and the Empire was just engaging in some “political theater” for propaganda purposes.

Easy for Grogu, he's clearly a Sith, having stolen all our hearts, so the green lightsaber means nothing to him. :o
I look forward to the ascent of Darth Grogu!

Everything was perfect for me in this episode. Mind blowingly good. It put me in a much better spirit (just lost my dog through an unknown sickness) and this helped me get through this tough day. Thank you so much Dave Filoni & Jon Favreau (& Co.) for loving and caring for Star Wars.
Sorry to hear about your dog. I’m glad it helped to watch this episode. I liked it too.

Yep and that’s another possible explanation as well.

Never noticed, does he wear stolen Mando gear for gauntlets?

Surprised how pale he looked, although harsh dessert lighting would realistically effect it.

Thought he looked great! Despite the smaller hat brim.
Bane and Chocolate Kroissant are the best looking characters to appear in BoBF

Our boy has finally arrived, time to break out the Extra Fancy Fiesta Snacks!

were these the jedi we saw. The battlemaster Cin Drallig in the center and the other two maybe Whie Malreaux and Bene

The foreshadowing is rather obvious at this point, ****ing about when doing Jedi training, clearly not taking it seriously, no respect for Luke or the Jedi way and his treatment of Frogs is borderline tyrannical. All the classic Sith hallmarks.

The Sith will rise again behind him, book it now.

That figure of Sith Grogu in tiny, stolen, reconstituted red/black Mandalorian armour is already too expensive to afford before it's been made.

Was it a good episode? TECHNICALLY yes. But it's left me so freaking peeved for two big reasons.

1) Why the heck did we do this show if the team was this disinterested in actually telling a story centered around Boba Fett. There's only one episode left and we just finished two back-to-back installments where the titular character had a combined two minutes of screen-time. Boba's story had barely started to gain momentum and then they go "Nope, **** that, this is The Mandalorian now." It's just absurd. And then to ask for us to care about the Twi'lek establishment getting blown up and Cobb and his deputy getting gunned down - Maybe would have been more impactful if we'd spent more time with them instead of Din & Grogu?!?!?!

2) What the absolute heck is up with Ahsoka and Luke peddling the "No Attachments" nonsense? Not only is it the epitome of "those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it," it is MASSIVELY hypocritical coming from Ahsoka and Luke, both who brashly flaunt that rule. And Luke having just come off of seeing the entire galaxy saved because of Vader's attachment to him. It's ridiculous, needlessly fabricated drama and makes me want to gang up with the Knights of Ren to burn the whole thing down, because if this is how Luke is rebuilding the Order, he deserves it.

The CGI on Lukes face has to be the best I've seen in the era of deepfakes. He looked absolutely phenomenal here! Not perfect, but phenomenal in comparison to what we've gotten before.

Also, am I the only one who got KOTOR vibes with the music in this episode?

Luke looked flawless in this episode. It's the best deepfake i've ever seen. It completely blows away Rogue One Tarkin out of the water (and I already liked that in 2016). I can't believe they made it on a TV show budget.

With what they can achieve nowadays with technology, they can do whatever they want with Luke and I wouldn't mind seeing this version of him for hours and hours, be it on a film ot a TV show. It would certainly compensate for what they did to the character in the ST.
