Chapter 6: "The Line" Discussion 10/29/07

No, I'm getting my point acrossed. Am I allowed to do that or only the people who are yelling "OMGZ!! BST EPISOZE EVR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PWNED! LMAOZ!"

LOL, far from the best episode ever (Company Man will never be surpassed). But the show is picking up, without a doubt. I like how the writers are testing the patience of the fans and whatnot. Admit, once everything is revealed, you'll be like, "Wow, that was worth the wait!". Personally, if everything was just answered in such a quick manner, I'd probably lose interest, and so would most.

you're the one making a big deal out of a "pay-off". i just want the show to not be so damned boring.
If I was making a big deal about the "pay-off," I wouldn't keep putting it in quotation marks.

The "pay-off" is just the point where people who require instant gratification finally shut up. That's why I like it so much.

No, but give something to keep the audience hooked. There's a reason ratings have been dropping so much this season.

Besides, its a pretty gamble, because what if the pay off is not worth it...then what?

Its not annoyingly impatient when you go 6 episodes (again, a quarter of a season) with absolutely NO pay off at all.

And right here you have the exact reason why studios don't go right along with all fan demands. If Heroes had to have some big shock value every single week, they'd shoot their wad way too soon and run out of ideas lickity split.

And it's also annoying when people lump in everyone as being "apologists" just because they know how to sit back and have some friggin patience and WAIT because we know that not every episode has to have some mind blowing payoff to it.

Why don't you quit putting words in my mouth? When did I once say I wanted "instant gratification"?

When you pulled out a turkey and showed it your jerkey. :ninja:

Did I ask for every episode? Nope, just a quarter of a season with the slightest, tiniest pay off. I'm sorry that is so unreasonable and impatient. :whatever:

It could go either way, true. I think it will work out in the end. 24 and from what I've heard Lost both got off to sucky second seasons and they both managed to survive.

then you can complain some more.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. :o

Your lack of patience shows that you don't understand the concept of delayed gratification. Specter313 up there described it better than I could. It's called sitting back and just watching the show.

Because again, why are we watching if not? Why not just read the recaps of the 20 boring episodes on Wikipedia and watch the couple lead ups and the season finale?

Because thats boring and has no "pay off".

I haven't watched Lost, so I don't know. As for 24, while the ratings were not stellar until Season 4...it kept a small but loyal fan base the first few seasons. Why? Because it always delievered (except for the mountain lion...that just sucked).

This is why Hype Series will never go past one season...bowpow! :o

??? You mean the John Locke rip-off episode? You people really like that ****?

You mean the Enlightenment guy who spoke about the virtues of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and greatly influenced the writings of our Founding Fathers?

Just kidding. I've never watched Lost.

And again, I'm not asking for something collossal every episode. I've already stated that numerous times. Are you really this stupid or are you just ignoring what I am saying because you have no argument?

Well you'll probably have to wait till episode 10 or 11 from what I been reading on other sites.

Um, Heroes still has a very devoted fanbase. The ratings will surely pick up.

I have no argument?

And you do?

Oh...that's rich. :whatever:

if you weren't making a big deal about "pay off", you wouldn't keep talking about it in every damn post. so yes, you are making a big deal about it.

No, I mean that was an okay episode and I'm not knocking your taste, but it was basically a poor man's Walkabout (probably the best episode of anything ever next to Buffy the vampire slayer's Zeppo.):o
