1. Five Years Gone
2. Company Man
3. Fallout
4. Six Months Ago
5. Cautionary Tales

1 - Company Man
2 - Homecoming
3 - Fallout
4 - Five Years Gone
5 - How to Stop an Exploding Man

Cautionary Tales would be 6th, I reckon. I'll be able to rank them properly once the season ends.

I knew I wasn't the only one with HtSaEM in my Top 10. :woot:

Years later, Ralphie would finally get his Christmas wish: an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle.

West: Oh, ****! He shot his eye out!

Claire: Nooo!

Usually when someone with glasses gets shot through the eye, its considered an homage to The Battleship Potemkin.

Totally didn't even realize that until now.

*has never heard of that Battleship whatever...* :p

You know, I've never seen the full movie either (apparently the unedited version was finally released on DVD 2 years ago), but apparently a lot of important scenes have become iconic and honored in a bunch of good films.

Adam's blood can heal Nathan, why wouldn't Claire's blood heal Noah?

I think you unknowingly stumbled upon something here.

Heroes deals a lot with parallels, and there were a LOT in this episode. I won't go into them all right now, but I do have a theory regarding what you stated.

Consider:

1)We already saw Adam heal Nathan, and we can reasonably assume Claire's blood resurrected HRG (else why show them taking her blood right before the exchange?)

2) We've been told there were 12 original members of the Company. We've been told Adam started the Company. But if Papa Patrelli was in the Company (and not Adam) in the blurry photo, we'd have 13, not 12.

Theory: Given that Heroes likes to play off parallels, I think that in a small way Claire's blood healing her "dad" tows the same lines as Nathan's dad's blood healing him. The dad actually being Adam.

Adam is a guy that didn't even need to stage his own suicide. If he played it up like he was without powers, then ACTUALLY killing himself (knowing full well he'd eventually recover) would be an easy route for him to take to break away from the Company and go his own way. Bob knows a lot more about "Adam" than he's let on. It would explain Kaito's being surprised it was Adam; already knowing Adam had a thirst for power (again, assume Adam never let on he was immortal, thus Kaito also assuming the suicide was legit.) It would explain why a seemingly powerless man would remain such a mysterious figure in the Heroes universe (keep in mind that unless Papa Patrelli were to play a larger role down the road, there'd be ZERO need for the mystery.)

Mark my words: Adam Monroe is the father of Peter and Nathan Patrelli, and the grandfather of Claire.

:ninja:

From what I recall, that would conflict with the graphic novels, assuming they're using them as canon.

Wouldn't Peter have recognized him?

One would think that Peter and Nathan would know if their dad had been locked up for 30+ years.

But, since their dad was a hotshot lawyer who had Linderman as a client....I'm not buying Adam as Pa Petrelli.

Arthur Petrelli died in the six months ago episode. Adam has been locked up for 30 years. Arthur got shot in the graphic novel and was surprised that Linderman could heal him. If it was Adam he would've healed himself. And like Katsuro said: wouldn't Peter have recognized his own dad? So no....Adam is not Arthur Petrelli.

I will never understand why people think Adam is the father of Nathan and Peter. It just doesnt work

This has been beaten to death let the horse lie Adam is not Peter and Nathan's father nada nope sorry BEEP WRONG.....
Online comic shoots it down along with a half dozen other points like Peter and Nathan know what there father looks like and its not Adam.
Also there father died like less than a year ago remember in 6 months ago episode he was killed just as Nathan had decided to pursue the charges against Linderman.

Jack Coleman needs a Emmy now, dammit!

I am just glad that West isn't a bad guy. I still really like him and I didn't want him to be a spy or anything. :)

I thought it might be a possibility, but he just doesn't come off as menacing enough to pull off the spy thing. He just comes off as one of those kids who thinks he's wise beyond his years...but really isn't.

I enjoyed this episode. Just when I was getting ready to call for Mohinder's head, they bring HRG back to life. Also, I found it amusing that HRG said the Mohinder had "gone native", what with him being Indian and them being colonized by the British and all...

Thanks for Sage, here are Hiro's words from Monday:

I refuse to eulogize my father. To eulogize him is to admit he is gone. My father is not dead. Kaito Nakamura taught me right from wrong. What it means to be a hero... so long as the lessons live on through me, he will never die. My father taught me to understand that certain things are in god's hands, but for everything else, god has given us the gift of choice. My father gave me the tools to fight the battles ahead. Every hand I extend in kindness is his hand. And every blow that I strike for justice is his fist. So long as the lessons he taught stay with me, and so long as he lives on in my heart, then my father is never truly dead.

But wasn't Adam in jail for 30 years? Plus the company knows he can't die, lose is powers, etc, so he really couldn't fake his death.
