Bale would be very good at the scheming type of Bond villain. Always in control etc.

Exactly the dream scenario I had in mind. It would be so perfect. :awesome::hrt:

It'd be so wonderful in so many ways.

He hasn't played a clear cut villain in a while now. Definitely he gets to play one in the near future.

I definitely think he's interested. I mean he considered the Oldboy villain role so I think there's that desire.

ETA: I just remembered that he was a villain in Shaft! But that was a long time ago.

He was such an evil bastard in Shaft. I absolutely hated him in that movie so he definitely did a good job in that role. :funny:

Hmmm I should watch that. It'll be interesting to see Bale in an evil bastard role.

Here's a taste:

Woah. Yeah that looks awesome. The look he gives Shaft when leaving the courtroom :wow:. I'm a pretty big Sam Jackson fan too, so definitely gonna check that out.

That interview is pretty funny. Shaft 2000 doesn't get enough credit. It's a pretty solid movie if you ask me.

Bale, Jackson, and Jeffery Wright are great in this.

How awesome would a Nolan directed Bond movie starring Fassbender as Bond and Bale as the main villain be?

That's just to much for the mind to handle.

Let's make it a point to find Nolan and get you to pitch that to him! It's brilliant.

What makes it even better is that Fassbender and Bale are very similar actors in that they love to "embody" their roles. You would get a Bond that is very faithful to the books, and a villain that is, well, a bad ass mofo!

Furthermore, Nolan has showed us that he can handle big gadgets (Dark Knight franchise) and crazy scenarios (Inception). A Bond story uses both of these elements to create an amazing ride for the character. He also shows us that he can most certainly include political subtext and character complexity in a film without ignorantly shoving it down our throats (See: all Nolan movies). He gives us films that we can enjoy on the mere entertainment level, but, if we look a bit harder, we'll see just how much there is beneath the cracks. That means a Bond film with big gadgets, big scenes, intimate moments of character exploration, possible nods to our own world's condition, and thoughtful entertainment without pretentiousness.

Or he could mix it up!

And Nolan. Loves. Suits. :woot:

He is the perfect director for a Bond film. Hands down.

So True and I have a bad feeling the series will be in desperate need of someone like Nolan after the next film. They have Purvis and Wade writing the movies again.

:funny: Yea, ok.

I wonder now that the Batcave is back will Bruce have a trophy room in the Batcave like he does in the comics and mythology and will it have his Begins batsuit on display ?

This is still my favorite display, so classic and old-school.

Definitely. I've got the utmost respect for that man.

It's too bad about that whole Terminator situation. It ruined his image for a lot of people. Every time I say "Christian Bale is my favourite actor" all I get is, "That ******* who went crazy on that guy?" :\

Terminator Salvation was just bad all round for Bale. Regardless of his little temper tantrum, it was a pretty bad performance. It was like he was sleep walking all the way through it.

Really? I thought he was great. He's never given a bad performance.

I've got a strange question for you guys: What do you guys think Batman would do if he existed in the world of Watchmen? Do you think he would he agree with Ozymandias or Rorschach in the ending?

He didn't really have an image before the rant, he was just known for his roles, which is what he wants, but the rant is really the only thing he's known for outside his acting, so people just immediately associate it with him.

It just made me respect him even more, you won't find a more dedicated actor.

Bale needs to work with Fincher. They would fit so well.

Despite disappointment of T5, Bale's career didn't suffer at all. Furthermore Bale has become a pretty big household name due to his outstanding performance in "The Fighter" where he received critical acclaim for his role and won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

I'm pretty sure he deliver a damn good performance in TDKR
