Apocalypse Characters in Apocalypse

I hope Singer gives enough time to the introduction of young Cyclops and Jean, at least. Id love a great introduction for my dear Kurt and Remy too, but Im not expecting great origins for all of them, sadly, so I hope at least Cyclops gets a great introduction and role

The treatment of the Cyclops character has been such an issue/common complaint for this franchise that I personally can't imagine tptb screwing it up when they have a clean slate/2nd chance to work with.

So with the Origins recton to 1987, let's put Gambit as an 18 year old, a Nightcrawler is 25ish, Beast is in his 40's and Cyke/Jean are teens.

So it looks like early 90's is the year they could be looking at for Apocalypse. Will Bush or Clinton be President? What real world backdrop could they use? Gulf War? I don't think we are going to see an Age of Apocalypse per say as the films primary setting. I think he will stay around as a background player and the film will touch on multiple timelines.

No, it came from the director himself. And why would we believe Kinberg? It's not like he's the writer of the film.

they wont be 100% realistic with the ages, since they never have and never will. And the thing is that the movies never said what year they were born, so why limit themself when fans have been waiting to see young Jean and Scott since First Class back in 2011?

Apocalypse will be the third movie of the new trilogy, so it would be stupid to keep them out one more time

Thats a long time but as of right now I don't want a reboot.

yeah Gambit's Taylor Kirsh looks between 20/25 a little bit older than Cyclops' generation (Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler)

During X-men trilogy, Beast was 60 approximatively
Cyke, Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler were 30/35
Angel, between 20/22
Iceman Rogue Kitty Coloccus between their teens/adult period

I don't like period settings for these movies
it always seems forced and cheesy(and there's no way to make the 80's not cheesy), and just generally unauthentic.

I want the X-movies to go back to being set "in the near future", it makes them more timeless
