I don't know about the acting yet (although I thought he was great in ST) but he really does pull off looking very bad ass and menacing in that movie!:wow:

I read the script for the movie about 4 or 5 months back, it has a pretty nice twist at the end.

HUGE MOVIE RUINING SPOILER ALERT

Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich's characters are the serial killers

:cmad: Shoulda figured there'd be some lame twist like that behind it... I'll be skipping this for sure.

would you prefer they end up bravely killing both couples for survival and live happily ever after cause we have not seen that before LOL

Sawyer, since you don't like that ending, would the fact that the script has a nude swimming scene with Milla Jovovich and Kiele Sanchez in it change your mind? Not sure what will end up being in the movie though cause the rating listed only has it rated R for graphic violence, language including sexual references and some drug use.

More spoilers

During the course of the movie, we find out that Zahn and Jovovich kill other couples and steal their identities. The "newly wed couple" they are in the film are people they have already killed. Hemsworth and his girl get arrested and then we find out that Olyphant and his girl are actually "the hero" couple. Milla is supposed to have a pretty brutal cat fight with Kiele Sanchez at the end.

Normally, I avoid spoilers but I watched the trailer last night and anticipated that twist ending. You have just confirmed that I was right.

Same here. When Zahn said something like "Authorities are searching for a man and a woman" in the trailer I thought, "I'll bet it's the 'good' couple that's being sought."

Hemsworth sounded a bit like a meathead in the trailer. Is his character supposed to come off that way?

If anyone is interested, the trailer for A Perfect Getaway is online.

Hemsworth is one of the 3 male leads in the film and he is sporting a slightly beared look and is looking pretty ripped in the trailer (and very tall).

so who are the bad guys there? Hemsworth and his chick or Timothy Olyphant and his chick? or both? I'm confused .

I think that's the idea, that you don't know.

I really dislike Olyphant at this point. I avoid anything he's in.

Here is a part from the script when Hemsworth's character is first introduced.

HIS REARVIEW MIRROR POV: Of the hitchers. The closer
they
get, the dodgier they get: The girl looks like Oxnard
surfer
skank, wearing an almost-nuthin’ bandana top. The guy
is
dark and ripped, the kind of rip you get from steroids
or
prison. Or steroids in prison.

So yeah, I guess he is supposed to come off that way.

I thought Olyphant was great in "Go" and I have liked him less and less in each thing I have seen him in.

Are characters often described that way in scripts? :funny:

Hemsworth looks big but not prison/steroids-ripped. Still, it works. He's certainly the most imposing of the three male leads, at any rate.

I believe in Hemsworth for the role. Sure, he may not have had a leading role in anything yet, but his scene in Star Trek was basically him as a leader and he was great in it, IMO. He was strong, noble, and effective as papa Kirk.

I have strong faith in this film, especially with Branagh. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

Cool! funny ways of saying things in a script, lol, but cool!

I thought Hemsworth was great in his small role in Star Trek, gave a really effective performance that resonates and is definately memorable. I think we dont have to worry about the guys acting skills at all.

We should also consider how he was cast. Branagh was blown away by the audition, and made the decision as soon as he saw it. Good things often happen that way.

Yeah, Branagh must've seen something pretty special in Hemsworth. He wasn't my ideal choice, obviously, but I imagine Branagh has a better eye for talent than I do.

So, wait, has Hemsworth actually been confirmed by Marvel Studios yet or what?
