Hemsworth is the only casting I'm worried about. While he'll be surrounded by good actors, the whole film will stand on his shoulders and contrary to another rookie that played a super-hero, Brendan Routh on Superman, I think Thor will be far more challenging.
Hopefully Hemsworth won't be wooden like those that have watched him on soap opera have suggested him to be. Because Thor is everything except wooden, he's emotional as Hell and he can go nuts and start fighting anybody when he feels like it.
Well Supes got the rookie card played twice. One was epic the other was dull. We just have to hope that Hemsworth is more Chris Reeves and less Brandon Routh.
Internationally known Australian actors who did not begin their career on a soap are very much in the minority.I'm not saying he's one of them, but some of Australia's best actors started out in soaps. Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Heath Ledger.
I have faith he'll be good. Branagh knows more about acting ability than any of us ever will.

Ahh I have been corrected.... damn I wanna see what he looks like now.Actually I believe Red Dawn has wrapped and Hemsworth is currently busy with Thor rehearsals alongside Branagh, Hiddleston, Alexander, etc
