Justice League Ciaran Hinds is Steppenwolf

as i said before, people should just keep asking cast and crew about the snyder cut at ACE comic con. and only that.

lol.

Hopefully more of Steppenwolf story ( like talking to the motherboxes & longer version of the history lesson ) will be in the Extended Cut. That is if WB puts one out on Bluray/DVD/4k? Still don't know why Darkseid was cut from this movie.

Yea, like what difference does it make to put Legion of doom there instead of naturally complete the JL arc. :whatever: With this move, WB destroyed Steppenwolf's importance and continuity. Well, the JL theatrical cut has done that already... since they did not want the Darkseid's storyline to continue. Makes Bruce's dream irrelevant, etc. Eh.

Maybe if they are able to put things together and continue with DCEU successfully we'll get JL 2 movie with Darkseid.

As long as they do Darkseid at some point the aborted future still holds relevance, the possibility would just be delayed due to Flash's interference causing the forming of the Justice League to happen sooner and smoother, as we can assume in the original timeline Steppenwolf succeeded in beating the League (I imagine they'd still form as he is still going and taking the fight to each, except maybe Arthur, then again Mera could go to him and tell him what Wolf did in Atlantis) so it would so they'd make a rough alliance. One where Batman suspects and fears Cyborg and is paranoid about the other Supers, only to in the end be proven right when Superman is resurrected evil (Lois Lane, she's the key) and Cyborg due to lack of support can't fight his bot side and proves Bats right (You were right about him, fear him). An alliance that ultimately fails.

I don’t see how they do Darkseid any time soon. The comparisons to Thanos will be everywhere.

Should the thread title be changed to CGI-aran Hinds is Steppenwolf?

Steppenwolf had bigger issues in the movie then the fact he was CGI. He was physically weak, delivered nothing but one liners, had undefined or simple goals, and had a poor character design.

If Steppenwolf was played by an actor in a costume, but delivered the same lines, had the same goals, and looked pretty much the same, the character would still be bashed, deservedly.

Thanos is CGI, so is Snoke. Nobodies complaining about them

Uh, no. I heard plenty of people complaining about Snoke, both in TFA and TLJ.

I think they tried too hard on Steppenwolfs character. They should have covered his face with a scary helmet and gone for that menacing feel he had in when we saw him for the first time in BvS. Even with minimal dialogue I'm sure Snyder could have made him stand out with just his visual presence.

In comparison to Zod, Doomsday, Ares and even freaking Enchantress? Yes. An hilariously sad downgrade.

because WB listens to the damn critics.

too much destruction!!! too many people died!!!

therefore, zero destruction on 'good' property and zero casualty.

See that's why I don't understand peoples complaints about the destruction and death in the DCEU. When Superman fights someone as powerful as him there is always destruction and death. Look at his fight with Doomsday in the comics I mean yes he was able to save some people (with the help of the JL) but when the League was defeated and it was just Superman and Doomsday people did die (Look at The Search for Kryptonite arc just for examples on that). Just like how I don't get how people say they did Wonder Woman right when in the comics both New 52 and Post crisis WW was much colder in aspects and has no problem with killing. The Wonder Woman in the movies reminded me more of pre-crisis/TV show Wonder Woman than the one presented now. Honestly I sometimes wonder what version of the heroes do people think of when thinking of these guys because Snyder's movie was more comic accurate then some like to give them credit for.

“Physically weak”?

Absolutely. As already iterated, his feats pale in comparison to the villains we've seen before & honestly, he barely seemed like he deserved to be Darkseid's top warrior/right-hand man. I'll admit the battle with the Amazons did somewhat of a good job of painting him as a threat, but the film didn't ever build on that. Instead, it just got worse.

so is he coming back? I wish he had more solo scenes to show his plans and personality. Also I wish there were some co-villains. it's just him and the parademons.

Not sure, but I'd wager on no at this point.

Didn't Ciaran state some time before that he wasn't satisfied with the final cut of JL?
