The Dark Knight Rises Concerns about TDKR

^ Point made.

That is hot as hell.

My concern is we'll get more childish comments like this one for the next year and a half.

And while it's quoted, I disagree with all those concerns. I've learned the finish product is what matters most, and after TDK, Nolan has earned my complete trust.

I like hot women in movies, deal with it. I certainly don't care for your mature, yet bullcrap attitude and your biased opinion on who's playing Catwoman. You wanna control someone's thought? Well go bug someone else who is willing to put up with it.

So what you people are saying is that this...

Is harder to look at than this...

I truly have given up on my fellow nerds.

How can someone with such a smoking hot brother look that ugly...

I think she's good looking but yeah that picture of her isn't so flattering....lol

She has a two-face, but she shows her ugly side mostly...

I don't want a Batcave with a T-Rex and a giant penny,I never did. And I don't want to see a maskless Bane through out the entire duration of the movie.

I do. Not in Nolan's version but in the next version, I'm all for Robin, Giant Penny, T-Rex, etc. I want Morrison's Batman after Nolan's, because it celebrates the entire history of the character from the comics and the films too.

This Hathaway news infuriates me to no end. She is Nolan's worst female casting choice yet, outshining both Holmes and Maggie.

Suddenly, that awful Spider-Man reboot is looking more appealing to me.

I heard that she will play Selina Kyle, what if they introduce her in this movie,
Batman gets his back broken by Bane, and it ends with Selina taking up the mantel and becoming Catwoman?

Even if its not, and its two villains, it could still be good.
Like Catwoman in JLA: the Nail, or Hush. Where she starts out as Batman's enemy, a thief, and slowly becomes his sort of partner. Maybe even semi love interest. Al the while the main villain is Bane.

The internet. Bow.

What? I'm entitled to my own opinion.

I'm cool with Hathaway and Hardy (especially Hardy, Bronson tells me he can do this), and I'm cool with the characters that they're playing. But I'm just a little concerned about the apparent lack of a mastermind villain pulling all the strings. I know Bane is a lot smarter than his last movie outing gave him credit for, but I still can't help but see him as anything more than hired muscle. I'm open to people telling me how they see things going down though. :yay:

I have no concerns at all. None.

I'm 100% sure that TDKR will be my favorite movies of 2012.

I agree and this is pretty much how I feel. I feel like these 2 characters are going to be more like players in a much grander scheme with someone else behind it. I still have a feeling the League of Shadows will be back with Talia.

In Prek's defense, he/she's right: hathaway looks a lot better when she doesn't smile. Thankfully, I can't see Selina doing that much inane grinning in the movie.

Elaborate, how is the title at all important and how can you be concerned about it?
The title is important because it should give the trilogy a feeling of, you know, being a trilogy, rather than Batman Begins and the two TDK movies.
Also it's redundant. The Dark Knight Rises is basically Batman Begins in other words and he already BECAME the Dark Knight in The Dark Knight.
And last but not least "Rises" or "Rise of" is overused and simply an indicator for bad movies in general.
For examples:
Hannibal Rising
Rise Of The Silver Surfer
Rise Of The Machines
Lucifer Rising
Rise Of the Lycans
Rise Of Cobra
The Dark Is Rising
Rise Of The Apes
Dr Phibes Rises Again

etc. etc.

The title isn't something to be 'concerned' about, though. You either like it or you don't - it has no more bearing on the potential quality of the movie than any other title would.

Ah, I see.

But remember, correlation does not imply causation.

yes, but if the best title the writers came up with is "The Dark Knight Rises" how good is the rest of the script? Especially a script that includes Bane.

Eh? So, tell me, is the Godfather a brilliant title? One that gives you a cinematic orgasm? How you can relate the quality of the script to your opinion of the title is beyond me.

It was a non-exciting title that stated nothing about the quality of the plot. It did its job, to describe roughly what the film is about and, knowing Nolan, TDKR will do its job as well.

Those inferences about Nolan bowing down are really unwarranted. The Nolans may have come up with a "generic" title, because maybe, jsut maybe, it suit their story perfectly.
