Xbox Crackdown Appreciation Thread

I hope they will. There's interesting territory they can take this game into. It would make for a much more compelling sequel and bring Crackdown into the realm of more "serious" games.

I was really disappointed in the game. There really wasn't a lot to it. No missions or anything, just kill this guy, gain experience, kill this guy, gain experience. The complete absence of a plot irked me. It could have been so good, but it wasn't. Key to the city mode just lets you bypass all that tedious experience gathering and just lets you beat the game in 2 hours.

For shame Oerwinde. The best parts of the game aren't spawned from doing the story line, it's from random encounters with gangs when you have super weapons with you.

Yes. But Prototype is not as good as The Hulk. And either is Infamous.

Crackdown however, was a freaking classic.

This game rocks in co-op too. My friend had a 360 in the room above where I played, and we've link up using the wireless adaptor, and tear up the city. Or sometimes we'd split up, and do our own missions, and whenever one of us were in trouble, we'd back each other rocks.

The sight of seeing your friend jumping over the city getting closer to come to your aid....Cant be beaten.

I agree. The co-op in this game is some of the best ever. You just get a whole different experience with it.

i just finished the game. i was confused and shocked at the end... for those who beat it

do you have to fight the agency narrator?? After he said he was behind everything? and that the agency was planning a new world order...well i can't find him anywhere... or was that really the end of the game? He was so annoying talking all the time, i would have loved to have to kill him.

also they show your character on top of the agency skyscraper... then he shoots someone, who is he shooting at?

i love this game but i can't get up to wang, the shai gen kingpin, any advice on how to get to him without dying. theres no outdoor way, is there?

^ is that the guy in the skyscraper?? well use the rocket launcher and hide as much as you can, thats how i got through it... no there is no outdoor way, you have to go through the building. When you are getting low health run and hide and gain your health back, because if you die you'd have to start it all over, i died once, but succeeded the second time.

Just co-oped this with Dacman. We had so much fun with the Keys to the City expansion... explosions galore.

I sold my copy a few months ago but picked it up again for a tenner....me and my bro played....ran round seeing how many bodies we could fit in a skip....then me and my mate from work played and raced around the city....i left him to kill some gangs whilst i grabbed the agency jeep....theres no better feeling in a game than when you hit a hill at full speed,clear a wall and jump out and grenade launch some honchos when your mates getting shot at......its awesome....you feel like the hero.....

i love this game and i could play it over and over until my xbox died.....such a cool game...

Keep showing the love people....

and if you ever want to tear up the city sometime add me and well go for a spin....
