Does this mean that mama Salvatore is an evil witch? Had a feeling she was going to show up cause of how they kept mentioning her again and again these past few episodes after never having spoken of her for 6 seasons.

I was wondering if this was going to be like the breaking of the phantom zone in smallville season 6 episode 1, where the release of Clark led to the release of a half-dozen other criminals who also needed to be stopped.

Nope, just one another criminal.

Great episode, though keeping Somerhalder in flashbacks while using a ten year old as Stefan was an odd choice. Was there seriously not a suitable actor in the 16-20 age range they could've gotten for Damon?

That threw me off too. I actually thought their age difference was just 2-3 yrs?

I think it's closer to 6-7. Stefan was 17 when they got turned and Damon was about mid-20s.

Speaking of Damon, I'm really not diggin his hair this season. He looks much better when it's shorter (i.e. the first half of season five).

she was placed in the prison in 1903 when she would have been close to 100 years old. she has to be a witch or a vampire to have looked so young at that age.

I think it's closer to 6-7. Stefan was 17 when they got turned and Damon was about mid-20s.

damon is 8 years older. stefan was 17 when he turned and damon was 25. i think they made somerhalder look young enough to pass as an 18 year old.

Now that was a good episode. And not just because [blackout]humanity-free[/blackout] Stefan will have absolutely no qualms about f***ing Enzo up now. But that's certainly a big part of it.

The best part of last night's episode was Caroline's line to Elena about why of course she has to make everything about her again. I guess the ripper gene can be passed on?

I wonder if Stefan's just faking it? If not, why didn't he just fake it?

Now that was a good episode. And not just because [blackout]humanity-free[/blackout] Stefan will have absolutely no qualms about f***ing Enzo up now. But that's certainly a big part of it.
