CW Presents: The Vampire Diaries - Part 1

Wow, didn't know Nina was leaving Vampire Diaries thought she would at least be back by next season.:( Will miss her but not completely devastated that she is gone. Definitely not ready for the Bonnie & Caroline show which the show will probably turn into now that Nina is gone. Maybe they should just recast Elena with Victoria Justice & continue on.

GREAT finale. Those last five minutes in particular were beautiful. Great sendoff. I'm guessing that, by the series finale, [blackout]Bonnie will have been killed or we'll get a 60-some year timejump to Elena waking up again.[/blackout]

But still... [blackout]Jo[/blackout]. :csad:

I didn't expect all those people to die in the episode.

Good finale ... but that's a lot of characters gone.

I'll miss Liv and Josette.

Alaric has the worst luck EVER. I'll miss Jo. I liked her. It's too bad her departure was (understandably) overshadowed.

Tears aside, am I the only one who laughed when Damon and Elena were dancing? Like WTF?! It looks like they were dancing at some competition. :hehe:

You mean those scenes [BLACKOUT]with Damon atop the clock tower and Mystic Falls looking like hell?[/BLACKOUT]

Yeah. It seems that [BLACKOUT]time passed after Elena's "slumber" or whatever you want to call it and since he doesn't have Elena any more, he's just gonna wreak havoc all over MF.

Somerhalder & Plec said we're gonna get season 1 Damon back with him being all evil again.[/BLACKOUT]

Yup, that one. Kinda disappointed if that's where they're taking Damon. I feel like they've done that way too many times already.

I kind of chuckled seeing a few fangirls bringing this up on Twitter as a reason Damon wouldn't have saved Bonnie. Like, how dare he experience character development? :o

I actually enjoyed the finale. There were times where I felt they were laying it on a little thick, but that's okay.

And seriously, Damon needs to cut his damn hair.

So apparently Delena shippers have gotten out of line telling Bamon shippers to kill themselves and tweeting racist s*** at them, so Julie Plec laid down the law and it was glorious...

“@Flashtique1: We want to know why the Delena fandom calls Bonnie fans the N word & tells them to commit suicide.” I'd like to know why too.

Guys, I'm trying to make a point here. I've read disgusting tweets directed at fellow fans, actors and writers from all kinds of 'shippers'.

If you think wanting a specific couple to get together gives you free rein to be a bully, you're wrong.

Every 'ship' has its guilty parties. Police each other. Even better, just try to be nice and respectful.

There's a term called 'healthy debate'. The opposite is what I see all too often on Twitter (and at past family thanksgivings).

The bullies, abusers & the trolls are ruining the shared experience for the fans who just want a forum for discussion and social interaction

They're ruining the experience for the writers and actors who want to engage with their fans but are afraid to look at their mentions.

They're ruining the overall enjoyment of Twitter. And generally, they are the thieves of self-confidence, pride, and independent thought.

They probably hate puppies, too.

Love each other, for the sake of all that is good on this earth. (And for the puppies.)

Please.

Verbal Terrorism. YES. “@RebeccaASerle: it's insane that there aren't filters to weed out verbal terrorism on here.

And if anyone thinks I'm on a high horse, feel free to look at what my plea for peace and love begat in my @ mentions.

When you get to the 'shut up, you fat *****' response, my point will have been made.

Actually, I'm not done.

I've received Twitter harassment that has made me cry myself to sleep and I'm a grown woman with a good life...

Imagine being an insecure teenager. Someone shy. Different. Lonely. Or just rooting for a certain couple on a TV show ---

--- and finding yourself on the receiving end of the kind of **** people are willing to spew at each other anonymously.

Say what you want to me, call me out, hate me, I'll go find a good therapist and pour my feelings onto the page. I have that luxury.

Just stop beating up on each other. This could be so much more fun.

Now I'm done.
I'm glad she's saying what she's saying. Some of these fandoms really are made up of trash.

These ship wars make my head hurt. :funny: Where's that "you really need to relax" GIF when you need it?

Yeah, don't always agree with Plec. but with her 100% on this one.

Vampire Diaries: Lethal Lesbians Among Season 7's New Blood
By Andy Swift

Good news, fans of chaos: It looks like Mama Salvatore won’t be the only fanged fatale dishing out headaches in The Vampire Diaries‘ upcoming seventh season.

TVLine has learned that three new vampires will be thrown into the mix when the CW drama returns (Oct. 8, 8/7c), including the show’s first same-sex couple. (Note: This is all based on preliminary casting intel. It’s still early, so the particulars of any or all of these roles are subject to change.)

First up are Nora and Mary Louise, a dangerous duo of down-low lovers with murderous tendencies. The vampires, both turned in their mid-20s, have kept their relationship a secret for more than a century, and although their connection is clear to those able to infiltrate their inner circle, Mary Louise’s constant doting can sometimes feel a bit smothery for fiery Nora’s liking. Still, anyone foolish enough to cross either of them will feel both their wraths.

In addition to the aforementioned twosome, we’ll also be meeting Valerie, another 20-something vampire who relies on her dry sense of humor to counter a life of pain and dismissal. She’ll encounter someone who helps her remember the happier, free spirit she once was — and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep him in her life.

Nora and Mary Louise are obviously spoken for — by each other — but it sounds like Valerie could potentially mix it up with one of Mystic Falls’ many eligible bachelors. (And by “many,” I mean the recently-widowed Alaric and the perpetually-single Matt. After all, we’re not counting Damon as single… right?)
Dear God, please let Matt Donovan get laid. :o

Gawd, that ending.

'The Vampire Diaries' Adds Three Villains for Season 7
JULY 15, 2015 4:00pm PT by Marisa Roffman

Elizabeth Blackmore, Scarlett Byrne and Teressa Liane have signed on to recur on The CW drama as members of Lily's (Annie Wersching) "family."

Fresh off the loss of Elena (Nina Dobrev), The Vampire Diaries is adding to its female cast.

Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker), Scarlett Byrne (Falling Skies), and Teressa Liane (Neighbours) have signed on to recur on the long-running CW series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. All three will first appear in The Vampire Diaries' seventh season opener.

Blackmore has been tapped to play Valerie, one of Lily's (Annie Wersching) heretics with "powerful magic and a dark and moody attitude." She doesn't find life in Mystic Falls all the great, and isn't OK with the rules Lily has laid down for the family. And when Valerie goes down her own path, she starts a "dangerous chain of events that will change the face of Mystic Falls." (Perhaps Valerie is the key to that season six finale end scene?)

Meanwhile, the other newbies, Nora (Byrne) and Mary Louise (Liane), are also heretics, as well as a couple who "wreak havoc." Nora is touted as having a "sly sense of humor," whereas Mary Louise has a "strong point of view which she isn’t afraid to express."

At Comic-Con, The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec teased the casting, sharing that they'd be introducing "nasty, nasty, nasty girls" this season.

Fellow EP Caroline Dries acknowledged that the "challenge for the writers in season seven is topping the villain from the previous season. And by bringing in Lily's family, it's the first time we've seen our characters go against them and they go, 'Oh, we don't know what we're doing.' It's very hard."

The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

You guys just reminded that they got rid of Trevino AGAIN. Do we know if it was his decision?

Well, I mean, he only ever appeared in like 13/14/15 episodes per season anyway, so I imagine he was fairly low down on the call sheet when it came to regular castmembers. I think he wanted something where he had a bit more to do and the writers would just as soon focus more time on the key players. Then he took that pilot, but it didn't get picked up, and I guess he'll just see where it goes now.

I'm just curious to see what gets done with Matt now, considering his most frequent co-stars (Trevino, McQueen, Dobrev) aren't on the show anymore.

Over on The Vampire Diaries, Justice Leak, Jaiden Kaine, Tim Kang and Todd Lasance will all recur on the new season. Leak (Powers) will play Malcolm the clean-cut eldest heretic who doesn’t like being told no. Within his small family he’s a golden child. But when he’s along, he has the sneering, aloof air of somebody who’s been alive a very long time—with no dear of death. Leak will first appear in the premiere.

Klaine (Zoo) will play Beau, a scary, solemn and dangerous man. He’s the strong, silent type, but not by choice—his vocal cords have been slashed, his throat forever scarred. But what he lacks in words, he makes up for in presence, with supernatural powers to match and an unbreakable loyalty to his heretic family. Klaine will first appear in the premiere.

Kang (The Mentalist) and Lasance (Home and Away) will join the CW series in episode 3 as Oscar and Julian, respectively. Oscar is a laid back stoner who’s been living the high life off the grids for months, hiding a surprising connection to the Salvatores. But Oscar’s Zen lifestyle comes to a screeching halt when supernatural intervention turns him into a feral killer.

Julian, meanwhile, is a feared and storied immortal with a reputation for excelling in earthly pleasures. Julian is pure charisma or pure creep, depending on whom you ask. The one thing he fears is anonymity, an unlikely outcome given that he’s perpetually on the run, leaving chaos in his wake, and attracting even more dangerous followers.
