The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Dane Dehaan IS Harry Osborn

i think is going to be a flashback to Peter´s childhood

Excellent casting decision here, continuing on from the success of securing Garfield, Stone, etc.

Oh no doubt, like a flashback involving the parents or something

But had he confirmed prior to last night that he would return?

I think he said he would like to return, and I remember reading somewhere that he was asking Webb to make a flashback or dream sequence thingy so he could take part

I don't understand why "Pretty Much It" hates Dane so much. They said he was "too obvious." smh

they didn´t like the movie, because it wasn´t what they expected...and Eric had big expectatives...soooo for Dane..i really don´t know what he means for "Too obvious" but whatever

had to google everything you just said but yeah, thats confusing to me. did they want an older looking, confident, happy go lucky actor?

I really hate Pretty Much it Now, there hate on nearly everything they find and they are extremely unlikable.

Especially that Mike or whatever his name was.

I kind of agree with the PMI guys. Dane does look pretty young, especially when compared to the rest of the cast.

I still think he'll do a great job as Harry though. We'll see.

It pretty much should be a flashback of him. Probably gonna learn more about Peter's parents and what happend to them.

I'm hoping they skip the Norman goblin and go straight to making Harry goblin that way it changes it up a bit. But I know all u babies out there would boy cot this movie if they went that route. I just think it would be wasted talent not to have him be the goblin or main bad guy.

Just saw Chronicle,cool movie

Dehaan was great,he could play the Goblin himself LOL
Whats even more cool,is that his relationship with his dad in the movie is similar what it is between Norman and Harry,so he'll already have an idea about it

What's the point in another movie trilogy which leads into Harry becoming a Goblin too? **** that. Just have Harry as Harry, leave the Goblin business to Norman.

 Chronicle exceeded my expectations, especially since I'm tired of those handheld camera movies.

I agree. I don't think they will go that route again, since that was a HUGE part of the Raimi films.

Really, we already had Norman as ranger goblin and no Harry was not a goblin in the originals he looked more of a snow border if u ask me. Maybe have Harry be the goblin and as he fails to do what his father wants him to do have Norman reveal him self in the end of the third movie as the big baddie.

:whatever:

Although we already saw Green Goblin on screen, there is so much more to be explored with the character, and I'm sure whatever Marc Webb does will be very different from what we saw 10 years ago. Even if its not the Ultimate Green Goblin version, but a guy on a glider, his appearance, personality, motivations, etc will all be different. We will have a chance to see the Death of Gwen Stacey, and hopefully some cool aerial battle with him (not counting Harry's fight in SM3).

Not make him Goblin but they can go for a route similar to the one in TSSM,make the audience think he is Goblin

Ah well he confirmed it on an Irish chat show the other night :D

Also quick question, Had Martin Sheen been confirmed to return for the sequel already?

Because if not he confirmed it tonight on TV

I found it amusing when Denis Leary was talking about his character and loving the experience, when he was jokingly pledging the Studio to bring him back for the sequels lol! :)

Still think he should have lived though - putting Stacy's amazing detective skills to work like on TSSM the way he described Spidey's height etc!! :(

Marc Webb has revealed on Twitter that Dane Dehaan (Chronicle) has gotten the role of Harry Osborn in TASM 2.

This is one of those rare occasions where I had someone in mind and they actually got the role. I think Dane will surprise a lot of people.

Good. I was rooting for this guy to get the part. He has the right combination of 'white-pretty-boy-rich-kid' while not being too much of a 'ladies-man-jock.' I dig it.

Dane just tweeted this:

Dane DeHaan ‏@danedehaan
Supposedly if I eat these hard boiled eggs, I won't almost pass out this morning... Here's to hopin! #gettinmuscles #ASM2

Hmmm...
