The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Dane Dehaan IS Harry Osborn

I think that Dehaan's Goblin goes trough some stages in his transformation and becomes greener by the passage of time.
Either way, if he wasn't a Goblin then what else would he be?

It would be pretty obvious to any Spidey fan that DeHaan is supposed to be the Goblin.

No way Jose. His look doesn't evoke any strong image of any version of the Spidey Goblins.

Anyone who says they'd recognize this as a Spidey Goblin is telling a whopping great fib:

He is green and is wearing armor and has a glider. Although he isn't wearing a mask and hood like in the comics, his features are very Goblin-esque.

At this point I think you're just acting like a troll yourself.

Anyone who says something like that, can't accept other people's opinions. :whatever:

I haven't read any Batman comics, but from what i've heard Joker from TDK didn't look exactly like the one from the comics.

Cinematic liberties will be taken in order for the filmmakers to tell a good and believable story. Get over it and be happy that you can have a Spider-man movie. That's my advice.

He is green and is wearing armor

He's a dirty shade of a very sparse green that is barely visible. His face is more flesh coloured than green. The dirty green looks more like faded dirt.

Be different if his whole face was proper green.

and has a glider.

That's a piece of tech he uses. Like Batman having a Batmobile.

Although he isn't wearing a mask and hood like in the comics, his features are very Goblin-esque.

Nope. Pointy ears and teeth don't make you Goblin like. Vampires and a bazillion other monsters have those too. It's distinctive to being a Goblin and it doesn't make him look like one. You could just as easily say he looks like a troll. He looks more like one.

At this point I think you're just acting like a troll yourself.

Yeah I know everyone who doesn't like anything about this movie is a troll to you lot.

It's like saying no one would recognize that the mech suit from TASM2 is Rhino. Just plain ignorance.

Yeah I know everyone who doesn't like anything about this movie is a troll to you lot.

Wow. I'm not even going to respond to your other comments as I don't feel like going in circles. But this isn't me attacking you for not liking the movie. I just thought your comment about people being unable to recognize that DeHaan is Goblin is false.

Anyone who says something like that, can't accept other people's opinions.

I can accept them, I just wouldn't believe them. Some opinions are too unbelievable to buy. Like this. Make comparison shots of DeHaan's Goblin face to any Spidey Goblin and show me show people would instantly see he's a Spidey Goblin.

I haven't read any Batman comics, but from what i've heard Joker from TDK didn't look exactly like the one from the comics.

Green hair, white face, red lips, purple suit and gloves. Classic Joker look. You look at him and know who he's meant to be.

Cinematic liberties will be taken in order for the filmmakers to tell a good and believable story. Get over it and be happy that you can have a Spider-man movie. That's my advice.

Here's my advice; just because we're getting a Spidey movie doesn't mean we have to like and accept all the horrible designs and decisions that come with it.

Fans didn't accept the ugly ass Spidey suit and Lizard look in TASM 1. I sure ain't gonna accept this lame Goblin design either.

Get over that.

I can accept them, I just wouldn't believe them. Some opinions are too unbelievable to buy.

Look up the word "humility" and try your best to understand it. I can see that you have none.

Seriously, I see a Goblin when I look at that image, so don't tell me that I'm wrong. If you disagree and see something entirely different then that's okay. It's subjective. Learn to respect other opinions and stop being immature, otherwise no one will respect what you have to say.

Yo, Fudgie. You fo' real lol?

I'm sure Marc Webb and the rest of the people involved in TASM 2 will sleep soundly, despite your blind hatred for a character in a movie you've yet to see. :cwink:

I don't need humility to not believe someone. Look at Bane in TDKR. He looked totally different to Bane of the comics. Nobody would believe any Batman fan would look at him and have recognized that's meant to be Bane. He looked like a Mortal Kombat character with that mask.

Seriously, I see a Goblin when I look at that image, so don't tell me that I'm wrong. If you disagree and see something entirely different then that's okay. It's subjective. Learn to respect other opinions and stop being immature, otherwise no one will respect what you have to say.

I ain't telling you you're wrong, I'm saying I don't believe you. I don't believe that you see a Spidey Goblin when you look at it. If you did you'd have explained with some comparison shots or something to explain how you see it. But all you said was he has a slightly green complexion with point teeth and ears.

That's as vague as you can get pal. A bazillion monsters have that look.

Yo, Fudgie. You fo' real lol?

Yo Joe I am as real as it gets.

I'm sure Marc Webb and the rest of the people involved in TASM 2 will sleep soundly, despite your blind hatred for a character in a movie you've yet to see.

Well sure why not. He obviously listened to the fans who hated that ugly ass Spidey suit he had in the first movie.

It ain't blind hatred. We have a ton of clear shot pics of him. He ain't gonna look different in the movie.

I guess the same thing goes for you.

Okay so you want to play this way?

Norman_Osborn_(Earth-616)_from_Thunderbolts_Vol_1_120.jpg

Green skin? Check
Pumkin bombs? Check
Glider? Check
Twisted scary look? Check
Pointy ears? Check

He seems like a Goblin to me. Now everything goes down to Dane's performance.

Where did i exactly say that you are supposed to like the movie? I simply pointed out that if you were born, let's say, in 1945 and you started reading Spider-man, you would probably die in 2000. Maybe 1995. You wouldn't get the chance to see something like that in the big screen.

[YT]7A44PzbEojM[/YT]

There are going to be things that you are not going to like. That's a given. But if you were a Spidey fan you would focus on the positive stuff, like Spider-man's suit or the fact that he finally cracks jokes. I know that Ultimate Sevenwebhead doesn't like the Goblin's look either, but if the rest of the film is good i don't think that that's going to ruin his experience. All i'm saying is that you should try to enjoy those movies instead of nipticking every single detail about them.

I thought that many people loved the suit from the first movie when they got to see it in motion. They were even displeased when it was announced that the suit would change.

Have a good one.

For sure. You ain't forced to believe anything I say.

Okay so you want to play this way?

That's how I want to play. Lets do it.

[Green skin? Check

Too vague. Heh you can say Lizard had that, too. He doesn't even have proper green skin. His face is more flesh coloured than green.

Pumkin bombs? Check
Glider? Check

Nope they're tech he uses. Not part of his look. Equivalent to Batman's batarangs and Batmobile.

Soz.

Twisted scary look? Check

Too vague again. You can say that about a bazillion character villains. Two Face looked twisted and scary.

Pointy ears? Check

Vampires and a bazillion other creatures have that. Aliens can have green skin and pointy ears and look freaky.

You told me to accept it and get over it and be glad I'm getting a Spidey movie.

Big no no. I hate people who take that attitude. Be grateful for what you get. We don't have to be if we don't like what we're getting.

Hey hey hey how one of the main villains looks is not a nit pick. That's a major thing. If one of the villains looks lame that's no small thing.

How many times can I say I love the Spidey suit? There's not much discussion there. But all this stuff about how Goblin like DeHaan is supposed to be has plenty to say on that.

I thought that many people loved the suit from the first movie when they got to see it in motion. They were even displeased when it was announced that the suit would change.

No way jose. Fans hated that suit. *****ed about it mercilessly.

Have a good one.

You too.

He might not look different in the movie, but you've yet to see the full scene. Why judge a book by it's cover?

And "ugly ass Spidey suit"? To each their own man. What's your definition of a "good" superhero suit?

How else do you judge the way a character looks pal?

The suit he has in this one. Raimi's Spidey suit. Downey Jr's Iron Man suit. The Bat costumes (except nipple suited Schumacher's heh).

Fudgie, you know what? I don't buy anything you say.

Can we change Fudgie's username to Devil's Advocate?

Actually fans loved, hated and were indifferent to the suit. I think it was beautiful as do a lot of fellow costumers over at the rpf.

I think this guy is either trolling or has no idea how to go about phrasing sentences that don't come across as farce lol

The glider is central to the overall design of The goblin as well. It's not just tech, it's an extension of his body, it's how he travels, how he fights Spidey etc. it would be like Spidey without the webs, simply hoofing it everywhere

I second that.

Thanks for the compliment gents.

Actually fans loved, hated and were indifferent to the suit.

No way jose. The hatred for the suit was greatest.

Yeah I should just be cool like some of you and post a sarky gif instead.

If you think I'm trolling then report me. You know I ain't. Disagreeing with you die hard TASM fans ain't trolling.

Nope. You can find whole scenes in the comics where Spidey and Goblin go toe to toe with no glider involved. Like the burning building fight with Spidey and Gobby in SM-1.

It ain't like Ock's tentacles where it's part of his look and are the whole basis of his powers.

Heh and you guys are always going on about how these movies are so heavily based off Ultimate Spidey. Where was the Goblin glider in that hmmm?

You too.

You keep saying that "You can say that about any other character"? So? Dexter is a psychopath and so is Joker and so is that guy from American Psycho and so is that guy from No Country for Old Men and so on...

You make it sound like a drawback while it really isn't. Everything is inspired by something else. There is nothing truly original. Even the GG from the comics looks like... i don't know, like an actual goblin?

220px-Kobold_artlibre_jnl.jpg

This is from wikipedia.

"A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous creature; a grotesquely evil or evil-like phantom."

I consider the glider as a part of the Goblin's character.
Having GG without a glider is like having Batman without a Batmobile. Now, i'd be pissed too if he didn't have a glider, but the glider that he has now is pretty cool, so i'm pleased.

Again why are you bringing up other characters? We are talking about GG here. GG, in the comics looks twisted and scary and so he does in this movie.

I know that aliens can have pointy ears, but again i don't understand why you are bringing that up. GG has pointy ears in the comics and so he does in the movie. (i'm getting repetitive)

I told you to accept the fact that cinematic liberties need to be taken. It happens all the time and it's going to keep happening. I just gave you a friendly advice to get over it so that you will be able to enjoy the movie more.

I think that that's a healthy attitude. One day CBMs will simply stop being produced because people will be tired of them. I say, enjoy them while you still have them.

I just want to point out that he looks lame to you. A lot of people here seem to like it.

I wouldn't say fudige is trolling, I think he's been pretty respectful with posts.
