The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Dane Dehaan IS Harry Osborn

I'll keep saying - Get over it.

You can say get over it til you're blue in the face. Don't care about that. It's telling people to shut up that you can't say. People can speak their minds as often as they want. Nothing is going to change in that department. Get over that.

If you have a problem with that, then we can sort that out for you with some moderator intervention.

Nothing is gonna change in this department. Stop wasting your breath.

Where did you get the idea that people criticize something because they think it's going to magically change it in the movie?

And yes, I have a MOS avatar. My love for the character goes that deep. But the film still sucked.

Right because you love Superman so much that of all the versions of the character you could have had as an avatar, from Chris Reeve, to Dean Cain, to Brandon Routh, you had to choose the one from a movie you said was a crushing disappointment to you.

Frankly I don't care if you go around with a Halle Berry Catwoman avatar. I just couldn't get my head around the funny irony of you flaunting a movie you say sucks in your avatar.

I don't even know why your MOS avatar is relevant to the discussion.

I guess because The Joker mentioned it:yay: And I have been known to spread my major disappointment about MOS. But regarding to its relation to this here subject about Harrys Gobby... yeah, I don't know either.

Speaking of the Joker, I was watching TDK the other day and damn, Heath really nailed that role. Do you guys think we'll ever have a day where we get a performance like that from one of the villain portrayals in a Spidey flick? It'd be great if Dane or Jamie got a supporting actors nod at the Oscars. Nomination or not I have a feeling Dane just might steal the show here.

I brought it up because you brought up your massive disappointment of MOS in the first place.

It's a two way street. You obviously need a great actor, but the actor also has to have great material to work with. Joker's scenes and dialogue were so memorable and well written. Heath had that great material to sink his teeth into.

I don't know much about Dane DeHaan as an actor because frankly I have only seen him in a small part in True Blood. But Jamie Foxx I know is a terrific actor. If given a brilliant script, and of course direction, any villain can reach the heights Heath's Joker did. It's all about acting ability and script. When those two stars align you get the likes of Heath's Joker.

Jamie definitely does have the talent to bring forth that kind of attention or accolade but alas I agree, he needs the great material to provide a solid base to work off from. It's difficult to say at this point but I'm not sure that will be the case. Electro doesn't really have that interesting of a story but who knows how they may have stitched it together for this movie. It could be a very genuine performance matched with a good story to his character.

You really need to watch Chronicle. Dane is awesome in that one.

Dane DeHaan was brilliant in Chronicle. I'm pretty sure that film helped him land the role of Harry Osborn in TASM2.

I don't need to change my avatar. Way to many of you are way to much in to that stuff. Like it matters in the slightest.
I loved Cavill in the role and Superman has never looked cooler. But that's where it stopped for me.

People spend to much time nitpicking over stuff that, in the end, aren't that important. Will the movie be amazing? That's important.

I'm over it. I already got my opinion out, and need to do no more.

Personally i hate this Goblin design, maybe hate is too strong word... but it's not i am not used from Sony. For some reason Sony always find the way to piss me off when it comes portraying iconic villains and Spider-man arch-enemy.

For me exist one and truly Goblin design, never used, because some fool working in Sony decided it's better have what we have today then this.

I haven't seen that pic in quite awhile, forgot all about it. That would have been perfect.

The Joker is a very meaty role for any actor by default. Norman Osborn and the Goblin is one as well and I feel Dafoe nailed it back in the day. If Harry's goblin acts as nuts yet darkly funny it could a very lauded role.

I think just because MOS was a disappointment it doesn't mean Henry Cavil wasn't great as Superman. I think he was the perfect choice for the role, and I can't wait to see him in MOS2!

Neno_Kos brought up this pic which is essentially what we got in the final product with Raimi's film minus the spikes coming out of the gauntlet/armor.

Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin look, however, one could argue is recycled from this:

This wouldn't have been a bad look actually for either the Raimi film or reboot.

I do hope we get something like this for Norman in "ASM3."

I think Norman's Goblin should be similar to Harry in terms of concept: a mix of Ultimate and 616 Goblins.

But why purple and green armour? :hmm

If anything, he should be like the Alex Ross interpretation, which is a decent cross between the Ultimate and 616 Goblin.
Green skinned and wearing purple robes and a hood.

Granted that is a costume. But the mutation making him look akin to that will work.

I'd assume the completed armor would still be green. I'd be okay with a number of interpretations for Norman, though.

That photo that was floating around this week of the side of Harry's GG armor makes me wish the other side was complete to match. It would look so cool.

We wouldn't see that thing on his flesh,it looks that hurts lol

I think the incompleteness of it makes it look cool too, though. You get to see the inner workings of the suit.

Except Norman would probably be a bit bigger and more goblin-ish. Not quite Hulk-Goblin, but a lot more intimidating, y'know?

That'd be cool. But it's like I said, I'm open to a number of interpretations for Norman's GG. The 616 version, Ultimate, Noir, Spectacular, Raimi, and even Ultimate TV are cool to me. :)

Same. I think there are a lot of cool things they could do with it. :)

I like that art, but...

They keep going for that tech-y look again and again, and every time you have a slightly too large group of people saying it looks not only bad, but terrible. I know that not everyone can agree, but it would be nice if a GG design got overwhelming acceptance for once.

If they're gonna have a fourth crack at GG, take another route. Go slightly medieval, slightly samurai. Like Terry Dodson's GG design, and if on top of that you added this tribal-looking mask... to quote Magneto, perfection. At least to me. :oldrazz:

DeHaan's Goblin look reminds me of Evil Ed from the original Fright Night, creepy and maniacal. And those of us who caught Chronicle know that Dane can pull off creepy and maniacal. Because we have seen so much of Electro, he's the character I'm most looking forward to seeing more of.
