The Dark Knight Rises Dark Knight Trilogy at AMC

AMC Southlake 24 in Morrow, Georgia

Doing the LIEmax since it's the best around and can't get to the mall of GA. Been wanting to see Begins so badly and have skipped watching TDK on tv for the first time just last week lol. No idea what to do about food. Either go to the taco bell in the same shopping center after TDK or I will go to waffle house after TDKR.

Also planning to dress as Bane from the prologue with a black tee since I can't afford nor find a good enough vest in time. Got everything I need except the mask at the moment. Having a good friend working on fixing up and painting a GCFX mask this week. Not really expecting many others, if any tbh, to dress up. Would certainly be nice to see some others!

Questions for you trilogy guys.

  • How early are you planning on getting to the theater?
  • Are you expecting the IMAX trilogy's to be sold out?
  • What are you doing for food/snacks?
  • Do you think there will be an issue with seating inbetween the shows?

I'm going to the AMC in Port Chester, NY. Getting there probably around 5:15 since it starts at 6. Traffic on I-95 around here gets bad around then so I might get there earlier and hang around just to play it safe.

Not sure if mine is sold out, not IMAX unfortunately. My guess is it still sold out. But I am getting crazy and seeing Batman Begins/The Dark Knight in the marathon and then walking over to the IMAX midnight showing (I have a ticket for it also).

Buying food/snacks before going in to the theater for Batman Begins. Don't want to over do it and risk having to get up during the movie.

Not sure though what kind of time there will be between shows....

Good questions. I imagine I'm going to be in my seat for Rises by 12:01 AM but reserved no later than 11:20 because from my experience, people aim for a half hour, this way I'll get a jump on a seat :woot:

dont think ill be able to make it to work on friday lol

I took Friday off from work as well. Next weekend is pretty much dedicated to Dark Knight Rises. Going with a couple of friends to see the movie opening night. Then again Saturday night ( at this really upscale movie theater/ bowling alley/ lounge/ restaurant. Then I will see it for a third time that following weekend.

Does anyone know if they will still play trailers with TDKR? I have tickets to this (!) but I really want to see MoS's teaser too.

i'm going, dressed as the joker, with like 5 of my friends dressed as other batman villains.

you can tell i'm hyped up. lol

I thought about going but I think I'll be too exhausted by the time I see TDKR, so I'll just have a marathon at home a couple of days prior to the 19th. Though it would be great to see the first two films on the big-screen again.

That's what I'm doing. The movie theater doing the marathon is a block away from where I work, but if I stay for all three movies, I'll miss my last bus home. As much as I'd love to see the midnight show of TDKR, I really don't want to be stuck in the city afterwards, so I'm just going to see the first two movies.

I used a discount code for the trilogy ticket, so I didn't pay full price for it, and I was planning to see TDKR the next morning since I'm off on Friday, so I'll still get to see them all on the big screen within 24 hours. That works out.

though i'm not going to the trilogy screening, i will be watching both BB & TDK before TDKR. i plan on watching BB on Tues, TDK on Wed, and then finally TDKR on Thurs

This is my biggest regret. Not going to this thing. Any way they can bring this back for one night? man

Also, guys, how did Batman begin on true imax screen looked? Did the quality go down by a lot?

I heard it didn't look that much different to regular screen.

The experience is just more immersive and grand. Definitely worth seeing it in IMAX before it goes out of theatres for Bond.
