Ah, thanks. Makes perfect sense. All the Box Office sites will be tomorrow (.com, Mojo, Guru), while Variety and THR will likely be today.
Making a western is an easy way to alienate your fanbase. I love me a good western, but they just aren't what people want right now.Never like Seth MacFarlane, every time he opens his mouth in public, something sexist gets out. That said, i think he has a relativelly strong fanbase, i don't think he will easily fail in the box office.
Certainly not if that ridiculous Tuesday number is true.
Major disappointment? What are you smoking?
I never expected X3 figures. No movie this year has done that yet. And considering the X-Men aren't as 'pop culture' as Godzilla or Spider-Man, they were all pretty close in numbers.
X-Men is rebuilding itself and, hopefully, this movie will be the first big stone in the foundation.
That being said, it's clear that the more splashy nature of X3 was also an audience draw. X3 had a great trailer (better than the one for DoFP) and a bit more snap, crackle and pop in the whole 'feel' of the pre-movie marketing. DoFP was presented in more of a sombre fashion.
@BoxOffice X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST took in $8.21M on Tuesday. 5-Day domestic total stands at $118.78M. #XMEN #DOFP
