Days of Future Past 'Days Of Future Past' BOX-OFFICE worldwide prediction - Part 4

The X-Men movies aren't the type of films that are number one of the year domestically or internationally.

The movie did just fine and I'm sure Fox are very satisfied that the series is officially back on track.

I would have liked to see DOFP surpass TLS domestically as well as WW.

It would be so awesome if X-men Apocalypse hits 1 billion. Wondering if it could happen.

Not without a serious turn around on the domestic front. Even DoFP with all it's success in foreign markets was unable to break out of the typical range that X-Men films have always been in for over a decade domestically($130m-$230m). If AoA can break out perhaps to the $300m range then maybe it can have a shot at $1 billion and even then it would be a long shot as it would need to increase it's foreign total as well by a couple hundred million $. But the chief thing that's holding it back I'd say is the(so far) inability to break out DOM.

746 million is fine. Some people thought it would just hit $500 million because none of the X-Men movies before it, hit $500 million. DOFP is still the top grossing comic-book film overseas, right? So not bad at all. Though it would have earned more if it got an IMAX release and if it didn't have a lot of competition.

In other Box office news...American Sniper made $90 Million+ :wow::wow::wow:

I hope it doesn't outgross DOFP, or else DOFP would be down to #9 for the Top 10 grossing films in North America.

Btw, its first X-Men film to land at the yearly top ten (worldwide/North America) since X-Men 3! YAY!

Sorta off topic. X-men comes back to Vancouver. Deadpool will be filmed here. Everything is right in the world.

American Sniper is a 2015 film...DOFP is safe from American Sniper

Actually American Sniper was released December 24th 2014, it just didn't get a wide release until January 16th 2015. If it wasn't released last year it wouldn't be eligible for any Academy Award nominations this year.

Yeah...I forgot about that limited release date in 2014. Sneaky, sneaky :D
