I am thinking in the ball park of 90 million for three days.
I think you do work for Fox. You are low balling estimates just like Fox is.

In few hours when the WC wraps the number should be a bit more concrete.
This movie will pass both numbers in under two weeks.
Not sure if your post is serious though![]()
2 full weeks, not just weekends? Possible. Especially the international number. Also if it does hit $120m for the 4 day, it could be in range domestically. You're dreaming.

Still early numbers, but looks like Godzilla is dropping hard. I could see Maleficent going either way, but I do think X-Men has a reasonable shot at being #1 again next weekend.@NikkiFinke
Early Friday Box Office: Holdover 'Godzilla' (WB/Leg-3952) looking $9.5M for $34.5M FSS (-63%) and $43.5M four-day Mem Wkd. Cume $160M.
Exhibitor Relations expects the film will earn $100 million over the weekend and $120 million if you take the holiday into account. The biggest opening so far for an X-Men movie was 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand which opened to $102 million.
You're dreaming.

Those aren't exactly "SMASH" numbers. We aren't going to see "SMASH" opening weekend numbers until November this year most likely. Mockingjay could, probably will.SMASH!
What if he's not and what he said happened?
Not surprising.
It doesn't have to break records. But smashing in this day and age is not $120m over 4 days. It just isn't and that is the best case scenario. Unless it has strong legs, that won't get it to $300m domestically. It is very good numbers, but it isn't a Juggernaut.Who cares about that? It did well, of course its a smash hit. It doesn't have to break every record. Well to me at least.
@NikkiFinke: Friday Box Office: #1 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' (Fox-3996) opening $36M (incl $8.1M Thurs) with $110M four-day Mem Wkd. Cost $200M.
