So did I![]()
I **** them twice.
So did I![]()
I just checked the answer that didn't have Wolverine in it.
I reckon the people who should actually go to the future should be a mix of the Brotherhood and the X-men.
So Havok, Emma, Banshee and new character Avalance have to stop the assassination of Kelley while Charles, Magneto, Mystique, Azazel and a very young Jean Grey go to the future to bust people out of the concentration camps.

I would really prefer that X-MEN: SECOND CLASS and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE past be different films with their own unique focuses.
I would really prefer that X-MEN: SECOND CLASS and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE past be different films with their own unique focuses. But if they were going to do this, they'd have to do it very carefully.
People have been trying to choose between Rogue and Kitty as those who could be part of the past/future thing. No one's mentioned Xavier. As we saw in X3, Xavier switched his consciousness into another body. Based on what happens in Days of Future Past, couldn't a different version of Xavier perhaps switch his consciousness into that body as well? Could that be who we're seeing revealed to be communicating with Moira at the end of X3? Future Xavier somehow? And for some reason Moira never aged?
It gets a bit ridiculous from there. If they were going to go there, they'd have to GO there. That means a movie that explores the nature of time travel, the responsibilities that go along with it, and the impact of our choices.
And if they were going to do it full on, and attempt to use it to retcon some things, then they'd have to do things like explain why Xavier is still walking in X3 when he was already crippled in FIRST CLASS. Which I would imagine means Magneto would have to be involved involved heavily, perhaps with his own agenda, realizing that the Brotherhood isn't quite up to snuff, and now, even more resentful o his and Xavier's their split in FIRST CLASS, maybe trying to undo it?
There are so many possibilities.
I'd almost rather see an adaption of DOFP for X4 that simply deals with the fact that Xavier, Jean and Scott are gone, though Xavier obviously not permanently.
the X Films were great, but they were great for their time.I thought The Last Stand as been thrown out, people kep saying they can't wait to see Stewarts Xavier and Cyclops so wouldn't any future sequences take place after X-Men 2 and not have anything to do with TLS thus being able to have Stewarts Xavier, Cyclops not dead and a powered up Rogue....
So who's going to be the one trying to assassinate Kelley?
I still think X2 is the best Marvel superhero film.

we never actually saw Cyclops die (an it has been spectated that he could've some how survived)... the ending, with the Magneto and the chest piece scene suggested that the cure was only temporarily, so Rogue could always get her powers back... an there was that after credit scene that implied Xavier entered a new body... so, there was nothing in X3 that couldn't be undone (without having to completely throw it out, of continue)I thought The Last Stand as been thrown out, people kep saying they can't wait to see Stewarts Xavier and Cyclops so wouldn't any future sequences take place after X-Men 2 and not have anything to do with TLS thus being able to have Stewarts Xavier, Cyclops not dead and a powered up Rogue....
After reading this concept, I am thoroughly impressed. Never in a million years did I think Fox Studios would be so ambitious as to greenlight a potentially massive X-men project. I think we all assumed the status quo of just another story with just another conflict pertaining to characters and a time period people do not have a huge interest in. While we may have gotten a good film, even better than FC, it was looking like the same old.
How do you go about this now? I think something over two parts would work, one serving as a direct sequel to First Class. The next serving as more of a future, T4/Matrix Reloaded type film, not that we are trying to attain the same level quality of those pictures. A First Class self contained trilogy really does nothing to provide an end-game and inevitably gets bogged down on the restrictions of the OT. It's a waste of time doing two more films in the 70's. Even a younger Jean/Cyclops would not mitigate this.
Time travel is really the only solution to fix the franchise if they use the concept responsibly. Then you could lead into X4-X6 with a clean slate. Redo Pheonix and Age of Apocalypse. Leave spinoffs to expain the history of the universe. I'll be more specific of what I think could be done when I have more time.

didn't vaughn say that they'd only add like one more character to this 1st class cast? bishop, cable, or rachel could work very well, especially with this story. someone from the desolate future with vague ties to the main cast could be cool.
