Are you sure about Tim? The solicit for Teen Titans seemed to indicate that he was some kind of hacking whiz-kid who would be stepping out from behind his computer for the first time as Red Robin or something like that...

Teen Titans #1

Tim Drake, Batman’s former sidekick, is back in action when an international organization seeks to capture, kill or co-opt super-powered teenagers.

Oh, I guess he just retired, then. I missed those solicitations somehow. :o

He retired and spent a few months gluing feathers to his costume

Now he's back to fight crime and impersonate Captain America's sidekick

Scott Snyder has confirmed that Tim will be in his run on Batman and that the character is still intact.

From the look of things, Tim will be the only Titan whose story is still in tact.

Not really, the final pages of Red Robin #25 has him out of commission for six weeks already due to injuries sustained from his fight with Cricket. Maybe the back in action is him fully healed with a new costume.

Or maybe he'll step aside for a short time due to the ramifications of him assassinating Captain Boomerang.

Whut

Tim had Captain Boomerang assasinated :wow: or did he kill Captain Boomerang himself

The last page of Red Robin #25 has Tim's narration confess that he had Captain Boomerang assassinated.

Well that's disapointing :csad:

I've found Tim less and less sympathetic lately and now he's a murderer

Remember when Tim was a fun character. Those were good times :csad:

Maybe it's something to throw the reader off. That happens all the time in comics.

Why the heck did they even bother to bring him back

Has he even done anything since coming back to life other than biting a prison guard on the nose

I hope so but if Tim admitted to having him assasinated in his narration it sounds like Boomerang is really dead and Tim is responsible :down

lulz :awesome:

Ah, that would explain it. I stopped reading Red Robin along with almost everything else DC publishes. Although, if Tim's gonna assassinate Captain Boomerang, I'm rather glad I did.

Remember when Tim was a fun character.
Less and less.

Why are they turning Tim into Jason when Jason is getting his own book? :(. It's worse than when Dick refused to save Blockbuster.

:woot:

Are you going to be buying any of the new series from DC Corp

Less and less.

:csad:

He's become more and more of an unlikable dbag in the comic books more and more grim and annoying and arrogant. And now he's asassinating errybody out there

I hope in Teen Titans he is written more like he used to be

Superman and Lois Lane are breaking up, and that's not the only major change coming to the world's most iconic superhero.

September's Action Comics #1 and Superman #1 will introduce several major alterations to the character, sources at DC confirm.

Husband and wife since 1996 in the comics, the new status quo will find Clark Kent and Lois Lane not only unmarried, but establish that they were never married in the first place. Clark will be a bachelor, and Lois will have a new boyfriend, one whose identity is yet to be revealed but is said to be a Daily Planet colleague.

Additionally, Superman's alien origins will be emphasized in a big way, with the character described as "more Kal-El from the planet Krypton than Clark Kent from Kansas." Superman's deep connection to his Kryptonian heritage also explains his new costume, as seen on the cover of Superman #1. It's "ceremonial armor" from his home planet, with the traditional red trunks abandoned.

Perhaps part of the reason Superman's embracing his alien nature is the loss of his adopted parents. Jonathan and Martha Kent are both dead in DC's post-Flashpoint continuity, a pronounced change from the recent past, and a return to the pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths status quo in that respect.

Even though Superman is going to be less 'human' it sounds like he will still be very compassionate and care a lot about humanity

So I wouldn't worry too much right now :)

AW HELL NAW!! :cmad:

Well, it sounds like they really are throwing back a lot to the Golden Age stuff, since I believe Superman was way more aware and in tune with Krypton's histories and traditions and such back then. The whole 'battle armor' thing is just ****ing dumb, though. Like mega-super-I wish they would not have said that-dumb. I really hope this whole 'armor' kick stuff goes away sooner rather than later, because it's getting really silly.

But anyway, not entirely sure how to take the 'more Kal-El than Clark Kent' bit, though. It could just be like the GA and SA where Clark Kent was the disguise and Superman/Kal-El was the real person as opposed to the flip flop that we've generally had since the '80s. I don't think that necessarily needs he'll be less human, though. I don't worry about that with Grant Morrison writing, but who knows how Perez will portray that. I just hope it's not an excuse to try and make humankind all wary of him because he's an alien or some crap all Marvel-style.

I'm upset because a good portion of what I liked about Superman is being taken away. I always liked that Superman was kind of a family man. He had his wife, his mom, his dog, his dad until a few years ago, a son for like 5 minutes, a couple of adopted brothers, and a couple of cousins. In addition to being this crazy alien messianic figure with gnarly powers and a cool rogues gallery, Superman just also happened to be personable, completely human, and caring enough to take people into his family.

A large part of the reason I'd ever read Superman's comic will be gone, and I think that's because the opinions I held about the character are part of a minority. If the past few years are any indication, nobody wants to write the comic I want to read. New Krypton? Grounded? And now the relaunch?

I want to wait until September and see for sure, but I have a feeling I'm just done with Superman now.

as long as Superman is still from Kansas, I'll be happy......lol

oh, and since it seems his flight powers are still in its infancy, let's hope it won't take till the end of the series before he flies.....cough Smallville cough.......

I agree.

And I'm worried, too, to a certain extent.

hopefully, since they are "returning him to his roots," that means that down the line he will regain all those things we love about him.

Agreed. Though I liked the initial direction Grounded was going in.

Being from Kansas is the least important thing about his origin. It's not like he's from a distinctive place. Shove Smallville into any other "breadbasket" state and see how not different it is.
