Agreed. Though I liked the initial direction Grounded was going in.

Being from Kansas is the least important thing about his origin. It's not like he's from a distinctive place. Shove Smallville into any other "breadbasket" state and see how not different it is.

being from Kansas is important to me cuz I'm from Kansas......so it's a source of pride that Superman is from here, too........:o

Nope.....it's all the Kryptonite from the meteor shower that turns us Kansans into freaks of the week............oh wait......

Urge to make Funkadelic joke rising...

Even though Superman is going to be less 'human' it sounds like he will still be very compassionate and care a lot about humanity

So I wouldn't worry too much right now :)

That part isn't what bothers me, at least not if its done right, I do trust Morrison after all, it has more to do with the other stuff like removing Lois (if DC has to rip off a Marvel tactic why rip off one of the worst received of all time?) and both the Kents being dead. If this is an attempt to make him look younger those almost contradict eachother, other than life long orphans and some other cases its generally older people who have lived long enough for both their parents to die, it doesn't exactly scream young. Its just both of those were things I thought needed no fixing and its highly annoying they thought it did need fixing.

I'm still on board for Action Comics but for Perez's Superman, man I just don't know now.

The Kent's being dead sucks. Clark's a good kid, so his parents weren't prompted to throw themselves in front of bullets in a dark alley when he was eight.

not too keen on all these changes to Superman..........

This repeated "you" is in my post is understood to be to anyone this applies to I am not singling out any one person:

If you're truly a fan of a character, pick up their new book. The relaunch is happening whether you like it or not. These changes are happening whether you like it or not. You have not even read the content yet.

So now we are back to step1 with Supergirl? She is just arriving on earth and adjusting to everything and decieding if she wants to be a hero? And how she gets to earth is a mystery....This has to be really good for me to sit through another version of what we just got for the past 5 years.

I can only hope that this time Supergirl isn't a heinous b****.

So this is the Golden Age Superman, in present day.

Wish they would've said that, rather than "younger, brasher and more brooding."

has this been confirmed?

I dont know how to feel. The Superman I loved and grew up with is gone. I dont know if I can pick up his new books. Im not happy right now lol.

I think some of us now know how people who read comics before the mid-80's felt.

In December you can get all #1s in 150$ costing hardcover, here's a hint DC: Make it accessible as a cheap softcover for crying out loud.
