Wow. I went to the IMDB board just to see the ruckus. Holy sh**! There is like a whole new level of idiots there. Any way, Every Silver Lining... I did see an interesting theory.

During a final season like this, Im all for bringi back unresolved plot lines from the past. We haven't seen or heard about Lumen since she shadily peaced and "moved on", but her MO doesn't fit with the Brain Surgeon's at all.

Lumen was set on avenging herself with a personal vendetta against a bunch of sickos. As I remember it, she left Dexter partially because she was not going to be down with the continued killing. Why would she all of a sudden start surgically scooping brains out as a serial killer, and in Miami no less?

Her vendetta was accomplished so there is no reason for her to come back. She was just an innocent girl who was kidnapped by them. They're all dead and she now wishes to move on with her life.

I don't see her coming back either. Too many of these theories are way out there to make any sense with a bit of logic applied to them.

You know, I honestly don't see this idea that Dexter is losing control or is becoming more violent. He is being very reckless right now, but he's doing so because of his care for Deb. Last season he basically said he didn't feel the urge to kill like he used to, and I don't think we've even seen him kill in these first two episodes of season 8.

So just for funsies I am watching ep. 2. It is interesting that the Ep. starts with Vogel showing Dexter a video, & the ep. ends with Vogel showing Dexter a video. She does have a love for recording video.

I really, really hope she isn't bad.

What do you all think about Vogel's thinking about Psychopaths. Do you think they are needed. We are an over populated world. Are serials the lions of humanity?

I wondered that myself. She must've tracked him off screen in some way. Might be one of those things that they just gloss over, though.

Dex nearly strangled a man in front of his kid because of a traffic incident.. then killed Debs sex buddy out of rage....

looks like he is losing his **** to me... snapped at harrison, snapped at angel...

Tron, he killed Deb's little druggie bf in the premiere out of rage. Was cool to see Billy Walsh from Entourage on something again

Oh yeah, I did forgot about the guy he killed that Deb was shacking up with. And the guy he strangled (though did he do that in front of Harrison? I didn't think Harrison was there).

Yeah, I guess all of this is true, but I don't know...it still seems like most of this lose of control is due more to do with his care for Debra. I think his shock and disapprove of her actually killing someone is proof of this. But I don't know, maybe they're going down that path. I think it's a a rather weak one to go down since it was done in season 6, but S6 did suck it up for the most part.

I never realised just how much Deb is the heart of the show. Now that she has done gone dark sided. The show is soooo much more dark.

You know, I have a feeling we're going to be in for a very Soporano-esque ending with Dexter. Something very ambiguous and unclear about what exactly happens with the character. I don't know why, the thought just sort of occurred to me.
