That teaser has a feel of this being the last season. It seems to be pointing towards Dexter losing his sh**. It also had a very dark feel to it. This could end up being a very depressing season.

It's hard to top Trinity Killer and Rita's death. Anything following season 4 was going to look weak in comparison but I thought they did a great job with season 5.

They should adapt Dr. Danko from book 2. As Dexter drifts further away from his humanity he needs a villain who can show him what a monster really is in order to pull him back. Someone who scares even him. Dr. Danko did just that.

Colin Hanks has landed a role most actors would kill for.

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that the Good Guys star Mad Men alum is joining the cast of Dexter for a major Season 6 arc.

Like with most of the Showtime’s drama’s past guest stars (e.g. John Lithgow, Jimmy Smits), the specifics of Hanks’ role are being kept under insanely tight wraps. (His character description is not believed to be among the trio of new recurring roles producers released breakdowns for earlier this month.)

If Hanks turns out to be an adversary of Dex’s, it’s unlikely he’ll fit the mold of past baddies such as Trinity and the Ice Truck Killer, given what Showtime president David Nevins recently told TVLine about the show’s coming season. “It is not [about] one big bad,” he told us. “There’s one interesting story that will move through the season, and it will be cast very interestingly, but it’s not exactly that one person.”

Colin played in this movie where he played a stalker type character. He was actually pretty creepy & good in it.

If he is a villian he could be pretty interesting.

Colin playing some sort of sadistic predator killer is definitely something his dad couldn't pull off, so it would definitely help his distinguish him as an actor.

Dexter Morgan is making some staffing changes.

Off the Map actress Aimee Garcia is joining the cast of Dexter as Jamie, the new nanny Dex hires to care for his son Harrison. Jamie also happens to be the kid sis of Dex’s colleague Batista — which, if you ask me, can only lead to trouble.

I know what you’re probably wondering: What became of Sonya, the Irish au pair who kept lil’ Harry in diapers last season? Sources confirm she either got fired, quit, or died.

Garcia will appear throughout the Showtime drama’s upcoming sixth season.
