I don't know about anyone else but I don't think any other job would put up with any of us getting called out for improper actions 79 times in three years.

There is a terrible cancer on law enforcement in America.

The mask is ripped off. From the covering of badges, the targeting of journalists, the heavy handed jack booted tactics, the use of provocation to justify mass arrests, and of course the seeming unopposed racism... We have a big problem. The cops are not being shown to be doing the things I listed "under high pressure circumstances". These are all things that require forethought of action. They all know what they're doing and why when they cover their badges. They all know what they're doing and why when they viciously attack the journalists on the scene. They all know what they are doing and why when they send guys dressed in black to cause damage to blame on protesters or when they drive pick up trucks filled with loose bricks to leave around.

Premeditated actions.

We should not comfort ourselves as we have in the past. "Oh, well I guess City X has a real problem with corruption and abuse when it comes to their police department. Thankfully WE don't have to worry about that around here."

This isn't isolated. This is a coast to coast phenomenon.


I have been waiting to hear the news story about a LEO who came out and said "I quit because the last few days I have been asked or encouraged to do corrupt and violent things to civilians and I cannot be a part of that." I will likely wait until the end of time.

This as the reality shoved in our faces cannot be forgotten.

It's like the nation's police are collaborating over the past weeks to showcase just how systematic and devastating their corruption is. At first glance, it seems incredibly counterproductive. But I think a lot of forces and unions are terrified that the public outcry will cause real reforms, and are desperately lashing out to discredit the protestors' message.

This incident is showing who the real allies are.

It's true. My mom chose to be mexican, gay people choose to be gay, and, hell, I chose to be a guy so I could get a better job. Now that I've got one, I would change back into a woman, but I still can't afford the necessary wardrobe and I'm afraid my dogs won't recognize me.

Even though my mom is mexican, I have pretty light skin and I can tell you it's very hard to be a white guy. People are always discriminating against you, but I get to say "Hey, my MOM is Mexican" and that helps a lot. The only advantage is that you get paid more.
