I'd be so hyped if Phoenix took this role. He's bring another dimension to Stephen Strange. But I'm surprised that he'd attach himself to such a commitment like Marvel Studios playing a superhero of all things. I can imagine it, but it doesn't seem like his style at all.

That being said, tomorrow is going to be a FUN day.

I'm just as excited with seeing how he'll be during the press rounds as seeing him in the role.

As much as I want to see Adrien Brody as Dr. Strange, I'm totally cool with the idea of Joaquin Phoenix in this role. He is a fantastic actor. That kind of casting is like Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man. It just works on so many levels. I hope he signs on.

No I was talking about ollies beard on arrow. But cumberpatch could probably grow a natural beard and look alright. Doesn't really prove he's wrong for Strange. I think he's a great choice behind Phoenix, although I doubt either will actually be cast sadly.

I might be misremembering this, but I'm sure I read an interview with Joaquin Phoenix back around the time of the release of Her, where when asked what he'd like to do next, he said he'd love to try a big sci-fi/genre blockbuster, because everyone assumes he wouldn't want to do one and so no one ever asks him. The tone may have been joking, but still could be worthwhile posting up, if anyone else can remember it and find it.

He's got lots of hair on his head, he can do a reverse beard combover. So its settled! Cumberbatch will grow his hair out long enough for him to wrap it around his face, then he can be Doctor Strange

Christ!!!! Someone had told me that Eisenberg was gonna be Lex and i thought it was a joke or nothing serious. Even when I r ead it on the net. He doesn not fit Lex at all and he's looks way to young. Matt Damon would kill it as Luthor.

ith the way Hollywood works I wouldn't be surprised if he was already in talks about the role. I think he's be fine.
