I'm kind of in the underwhelmed camp myself. I think he'll do fine, but I was intrigued by the idea of McGregor, Hawke, or maybe McConaughey taking the role. Not to mention I was a huge supporter of Phoenix and was disappointed that things didn't work with him.

LOL!! I'm the exact opposite. I am really intrigued how they'll work in the stuff that Derrickson's really good (imo) at, the horror genre tropes and stuff and Spaihts' work into a pg-13 movie. Also, this supporting cast as well.

This may end up being totally excellent.

I have to admit… thinking about Cumberbatch going up against RDJ, Ruffalo, Renner, ScarJo, Evans, Hems…. good stuff.

You definately need to get on that and watch the 2st episode of season 3 - the way he does his reveal to Watson is simply brilliant.
