Doctor Strange News & Speculation thread - Part 2

Looks great. The caliber of the cast is amazing and I thought the sfx looked astounding, and should look even better in the theatre. To those saying they are unimaginative or uninspired, derivative etc I can honestly say that I'm left scratching my head and I feel sorry for you; you truly must be spoilt to the point that literally nothing will sate your visual thirst.

It looks really "out there" in a good way.

I think they shouldve shown maybe one or two secs of him in action, but of course we'll get that in the next trailer. I just think they shouldnt have held it off``

Underwhelming trailer. Its not the first MCU film to underwhelm me with its first trailer so Im still looking forward to this.

Not happy that I have to sit through another damn origin story tho. I was thinking Marvel had said Doctor Strange would be fully established at the start of the film and we wouldn't have to go through all the origin stuff. I want to see a movie with a fully established Doctor Strange. Not hobo Cumberbatch tripping balls for most of the film then in the final act he becomes Doctor Strange and faces off with some throwaway villain.

I mean what did ya expect? They cant leave the GA in the dark aboutnhis origin.

Don't know much about Doctor Strange to be honest but the trailer is interesting. Looks crazy! (In a good way!) really excited.

I agree about being underwhelmed I just don't mind the origin story for him as I am unfamiliar with his os. I just hope they don't have a add a bit of ______film and a sprinkle of ________ one too mentality as it seems to have.

Overall the sheer calibre of actors has me intrigued though. That and the new poster is the closest BC has looked to the character.

I hope they play a lot with the trippy visual.

I absolutely LOVED the trailer.

Was I a touch disappointed they didn't let Benedict keep his accent? A little - but it's not going to kill it for me. Benedict's voice is wonderful with whatever accent he uses.

Loved the trailer. This is going to be mind blowing! As for the origin story aspect, I think that Strange's origin story is more important to tell than most! His powers are so unique, if he just started right in, I would be very confused as to what he can do and how.

You know what else I loved and maybe this is weird - but I LOVED it when the Marvel Studios logo went from having the standard red background fade to a black background instead. That silver and black just looked really nice (I know, weird (and trivial) thing to love about a trailer)

Loved this trailer. It sold us on the (excellent) origin and character of Stephen Strange and the world he is about to enter and the teases enough are to get me excited for the film it sells here. Yet in the best way, I can't wait to see more. Cumberbatch's performance looks great.

If Ant Man became unexpectedly trippy then we're in for something special.
