Brudda Voodoo is indeed using dark magic, though. That room of crystal thingamajigs that acts as an early warning system for threats from other dimensions was apparently constructed with extremely dark magic that Strange himself would never have touched. So that creates a curious incongruity, if Strange did indeed lose his spot as Sorcerer Supreme as punishment for using Zom's dark magic.

Well, keep in mind that Strange summoned Zom, and then note the extent to which Strange flipped the f*** out when he saw Voodoo's magic viewing room. I'd say it's pretty dark magic.

No, that's Hollywood Vodou. The actual religion of Vodou deals with healing and worship of ancestry and nature. Hollywood has tainted the religion. There is dark magic in Vodou, but that's just a small aspect of the overall Vodou belief.

But Bendis didn't write the scene where Strange flips out over the viewing room.

Then again, Slott basically had Chthon totally undo Bendis' "no chaos magic" decree, so maybe everyone else realizes that Bendis does weird, crappy s*** with magic and they're just quietly ignoring him.
