Donna was my favorite companion for Ten. :woot:

I never really liked 10's companions as much as 11's.

Everyone loves Amy but I think everyone adores Clara.

Clara is bland as all hell.

Fight me. Don't even care.

I never really liked 10's companions as much as 11's.

As far as the new companions go, the best are Wilf, Brian, Rory, Jack and Donna. A lot of the female companions just seemed to not be written very well.

I know it would never happen, but I'd love just for a few episodes if there was just a male companion and no love interest, they just went around being bros.

Everyone loves Captain Jack Harkness. I wish they'd bring him back but he was 9 and 10's buddy.

I was kinda expecting him to show up. Too bad he didn't. :(

"Stop iiiiiittt."

I still haven't watched all of Torchwood yet.

Barrowman was supposed to come back for a good man goes to war.

I really actually don't want to see Jack again. Ever.

It's too bad, I actually rewatched The Doctor Dances yesterday and he started off really strong; a charming, morally-ambiguous, con man who had 2 years of memories missing and was plagued by what he might have done... good stuff.

Unfortunately all of that was totally squandered post-season 1, so that by the time we got to Miracle Day the character had devolved into a camp, flabby joke spouting off slightly grubby innuendos as the rest of the cast visibly struggle not to roll their eyes.

He's the River Song of the Davies era.

The only thing that's canon from Torchwood is Children of Earth. Everything else is crap, and we can thank Starz for ruining Miracle Day.

I actually got tired of River Song about halfway through series 6. I thought the idea was interesting at first but after a while she got really annoying.

I think that's the same way a lot of people think about River Song.
She started off really fun and interesting and then got less and less so with each subsequent appearance. Now the aloof, confident, professional with a playful sense of humour we first met in the library has been almost completely replaced by this humiliating, pantomime character.
Just like Jack.

Had RTD not've been spin-off happy, it'd be nice had he explored the two years in question instead of giving us the Cardiff edition of Angel

I know I'm a little late, but Donna was my favorite companion, bar none.

Totally. Instead of just forgetting about the '2 missing years' thing, it would have made perfect sense to use that idea as Torchwood's season 1 arc. It's a no brainer.

But, no...Sex aliens and Cyberwomen were what we got instead.

He'd still need to confine the 2 year to Earth. It should have been still set in the present but with flashbacks.
