I would just to troll them, but I used to have a big crush on the girl years ago and I don't want her to think I'm jealous or anything.

I hate that I had to turn my phone of to prevent my friends from sending my anymore texts. Every 20 minutes I'd get a text saying "are you coming over?" or "footballs on, you should come over." And I tell them, "no I have a massive final paper to work on", but they just don't ****ing get it.

To be fair, you're still going to get those texts once you turn your phone back on.

I like spoiling my niece and nephew, but I hate it when I get them a TON of gifts, plus buy stuff for my sister and her husband, and all I get in return from them is a $15 GC to Subway.

It happens every year. I think I'm just gonna get my sister and her husband a little GC, too. No need to look for something that they may like, when they can get 3 $5 footlongs of their choice.

I've done the updating and all the jazz too, and it still doesn't work. I think I'll just buy a new blu ray player next month. The one I have is an off-brand so I'm not too surprised it crapped out on that movie.

It's not so the spoiling that bothers me, but more that my brother will spend about $500 on gifts for each of his kids, and then invites me and my mom, who are both struggling financially, to his house just so he can show us all of the gifts that the kids got from him, his wife and the rest of her family. It almost feels like he wants to rub it in our face and make us feel bad if we don't get them anything.

The worst part is when he brings over all of the gifts so my mom can wrap them for him.

I hate this statement and those like it. I don't condone homophobia or racism or sexism or whatever negative societal habits that usually hang around these statements, but what does the current year have to do with it? Bigotry isn't milk, there's no expiration date. The KKK isn't going to look at their collective watch and say "****, we should've stopped like an hour ago. Our bad." This sort of stuff takes a hell of a lot of time to eliminate, and it'll likely never be fully removed, but let's not pretend that just because it's now that we shouldn't be dealing with it, because we shouldn't be dealing with it period.
