I hate these guys: http://eveil.tumblr.com/post/55394645882/warning-these-guys-having-a-camera-on-their

Yes I know, girls with cleavage are asking to be looked at. But they aren't asking to have their cleavage put all over the internet without their consent! If you're gonna have the gall to do that, at least have the gall to ask! Plus boobs with no faces attached = serious woman issues, guys-who-do-that. Go cry yourselves to sleep with your Real Doll.

My friend had a sickeningly stereotypical comic book nerd (pale white guy, obese, glasses, sweaty) try to take a pic down her shirt at one SDCC when he thought she wasn't looking. She wasn't even cosplaying nor trying to show them off.

Don't be that guy, SHHers. I will renounce your name.

The people who run Anime Expo filed a report with the LAPD about those creeps. They targeted underage girls and touched them without consent in some cases. I've no idea what the cops can do about it, but if laws were broken I hope that the sick punks end up in jail and on sex offender registries for life.

Nonconsensual groping is actually considered sexual assault. They can be charged with that. It's worse if the girls are underage.

It's good they've been put on notice. Do they have pics of these guys? They should be shamed, publicly. :cmad:

Reading more about it. Those guys are some kind of stunt performers called EMC Monkeys....and they apparently thought that asking girls for a "GoPro Hug!" was the legal equivalent of consent to film their boobs and post it on the internet.

And of course they would have no idea of knowing whether some of those girls were underage unless they asked for ID. Which they obviously did not do.

Yeah guys...don't be that guy. :o Think for a f***ing second. Just treat women like people. How f***ing hard is it?!

I don't know if they have photos of the creeps, but the con organizers apparently know who they are. It should be possible for the police to track them down because they posted the videos on YouTube and other social media sites.

This goes way beyond the "socially-awkward nerd" thing and into full-blown perverted sexual offender territory. The best thing that could come of this is that the perps get busted and made examples of so that guys who think sick behavior like this is funny will understand that it's criminal and can ruin their lives if they are caught. Being on a sex offender registry is a definite life-ruiner, and deservedly so for sick thugs who grope young girls.

I know socially awkward nerds who are very respectful toward women, once they get to talk to one. :oldrazz: My husband is actually one of those. I've never had the notion that he's ever thought of me as any less than a fully capable, intelligent, opinionated human being.

Guys like those GoPro Hug dudes just make people have negative assumptions about all nerds, and that's just not fair to men like my husband.

"Players" are just as capable of objectifying women. They just don't do it in such obviously socially unacceptable (ie, "perverted") ways.

I really, really don't get what's so hard about it. I don't get why men still consider women "an object to be won or treated how I wish." I see it even here at times.

We're PEOPLE. I'm talking to you right now, and you're listening to my words. We're just not boobs and butts and warm holes. We have brains and can think and have feelings just like you. Just treat us (and everyone different from you) like people and the world would be a much better place.

EMC posted an "apology" on Facebook that included a call for their followers to validate their behavior. They say they didn't intend to hurt anyone, but go on to ask if their fans found the videos "shameful or irreprehensible [sic]". Of course they got a lot of support. However, one young girl who was filmed without her consent commented that she is a minor and had no idea that they were taking pictures of her chest to post on the Internet. She and several others have pointed out that EMC should have told all the victims what they were doing and gotten express consent to use their images in the videos.

As you've said, the larger issue is the assumption that women and girls deserve to be treated disrespectfully based on others' perception of how they are dressed. These guys assumed that just because their victims were cosplayers, they were legitimate targets for harassment, unwanted touching and invasion of privacy. That's shaming at its worst. The argument that some of the girls consented to the hugs is also bogus because they did not know their chests were being filmed. The man used trickery to get close to the cosplayers so that he could film them without their consent and then expose them on the Internet.

Now EMC and their defenders are arguing that it's all overblown, they didn't know some of the victims were underage and it was harmless. Not knowing the ages of the victims is no excuse. The fun and games ended when the cops were called in.

I hate crappy video game AI. I'm replaying the first Ultimate Alliance, and Spider-Man just jumped straight off of a cliff. I have no idea why.

Damn man. Hope everything works out & both involved had insurance.

Thankfully, everyone involved did have insurance and no one was seriously hurt.

If you think that's bad look up Eddie Cuffin. He might be one of the worst human beings ever.

i hate how my parents like to live like slobs and i have no choice but to deal with it until i can afford to move out

I hate that I'm trying to get a part-time job (for extra income) and can't seem to get a call back for these either. It took me a long time to finally land the full time job that I have now and I fear having the same types of problems getting a second job.

I hate that because I didn't do some research on the countless Dragonball Z soundtracks that I blindly purchased a DBZ CD thinking it would contain the background music but instead it has crappy J-Pop songs that were never part of the show.

I hate that iTunes doesn't have a real Metal Gear Solid soundtrack. They have some 25th Anniversary CD, but it's only like 9 songs.

I hate packing. I didn't think I owned that much stuff until I tried to put it all into boxes.

What are some of the titles?

Network. Applying for jobs on websites gets you nowhere. You need to know the people who can get you jobs.

It's not so much schmoozing as it is proving to people that you have passion and initiative. Even when people passed my name on to folks they knew who were hiring designers, I still needed to have a great portfolio.

He knew that the Ultimate Spider-man show was going to suck horribly, so he did what he thought was best.

...that's certainly what it feels like. I've always been told that the way to stand out in online applications is to use exact words and phrases from the job description or job requirements. (It's supposed to help flag your application when it runs through whatever program they use.)

I hate that there is zero stability in my life right now. Half the time I'm home, then I wake up and am told I'm riding five hours to Pittsburgh. There, I'll stay until someone shows up and tells me I'm going back home. And the reason I'm going to Pittsburgh - which I don't care to elaborate on - is the most unstable thing of all. A very, very close family friend, who was more of an aunt to me than my biological ones were, passed away yesterday. And that was when I was forced to leave Pittsburgh (and wasn't told until a few hours before we left,) leaving me inable to provide the emotional support my mother needs. My mom, may I add, has been in the city 24/7 for over a month now. Anything can happen, and I hate that I feel like I've lost any control.

Yeah, that's why you need to have an employee referral. :o Preferably someone who has some pull in the company. Its the only way to get noticed in today's day and age of "resume keyword search."

I have something cooking for me career-wise that I don't want to jinx at the moment, but let's just say I met a manager randomly when we both volunteered at a design event. I also have a juicy project going on with a very knowledgeable lawyer I met at a meetup. That's the kind of stuff you have to do.

I only met them once for a few hours before things got started, but apparently I impressed them with my passion and eagerness to learn.

I hate the religious protesters on the corner by my apartment complex. We get it. Everyone that is not a member of your parish is going to Hell. Now quiet down!
