
I hate when movies become more about the actors than the characters that they are portraying, especially in films that are based on some other type of source material.
What bothers me isn't when they get a big name actor for something, but moreso when they tweak a script and rework the plot to highlight that actor more, as opposed to the character. Not that this is a good example, but its sort of like how they made the X-Men movies more about Wolverine just because Jackman was the bigger draw.As much as I would like to see an actor I like playing Roland in The Dark Tower(if it ever gets made), part of me would rather prefer a new face that no one really knows.
