Don't Hate The Hater, Hate The Hate! - - - - - - - Part 19

I tried wandering into the TMNT forums yesterday and today since the trailer was released. It was a solid reminder of why I never venture into any specific franchise movie forum.

There are people in there who just hate for the sake of hating (and contrastly, those who love everything, as if there was nothing wrong). The trailer is a lot better than I was dreading it might be. It's not the classic Ninja Turtles, nothing will be, but their look was nowhere near the awful imagining they could have been either. I was expecting much uglier beak faces than the more "human" ones we got.

Still there are people in there who go on and on over how terrible it looks, how this will be a bad movie, all from a minute and thirty seconds of a trailer showing maybe 15 seconds of actual turtle. This is not "this is a bad trailer" remarks but "the entire movie is going to suck!" kind of responses. :whatever:

I get it, I'm still wary of the movie too (Michael Bay producing with Megan Fox starring?) but writing off the entire film? Move on to another movie you don't already hate please and let everyone else discuss what they think of a movie they haven't already formed an unwavering opinion of "die die die" on. At least the people who love it regardless aren't there to piss all over everything.

People with valid criticisms need not be offended by my ranting. I have them (the turtles look too tall and bulky, April's not a redhead and the Shredder is a white guy) but I don't go in there solely to vent how much this is an awful movie. And make sure to remind everyone. Endlessly.

I hate doing the sound mix on my film. It's tedious, boring and I'm not particularly good at it.

I hate porn
And I hate it when people defend porn

I hate that the work days I requested off for C2E2 are still pending. I requested them in February, what's taking so long?

Tell them you have an obligation to be amongst your fellow geeks and nerds dammit!

That's nothing, some people on this forum have such mind sets for movies that haven't even got a picture yet let alone a trailer.

I tried to stick it out in the TMNT forums but it felt like it was all whine, whine, whine.

You've essentially described all the forums.

Which is why I only hang out in the non-franchise forums. Less drama.

I wanted to be able to read any the forums without seeing all the hate and whinery in them but it's a lost cause (every one of them has its haters) so I did vent my frustration about it here. The irony is not lost on me though. :D

This stupid ass pop up...

i hate that i have to go to work tonight

I hate the faux Mexican restaurant I visited... ugh bad food, atmosphere, the waiter was new and completly untrained. I feel sorry for him, the rest of it was just poor. It was a new place too but it won't last with that quality.

Bad Mexican food is a crime against humanity.

I didn't even bring up the fact they forgot my food so I had to wait while everyone else was eating... and then the head waiter asked if it was beef or chicken, I said chicken so he ran back to fix the order before it was done.

I hate that I took a hard fall working out today.

That reminds me of a restaurant my stepmother hated to go to because they never remember her order. She'd go there a dozen times and almost every single time they wouldn't do her order. She'd go with a dozen of us and she'd be the only one. She'd have someone else order for her or have someone order for all of us and she'd be the only one not served. It took place well over a dozen years that it happened to her so it wasn't just one person who could have done it. She hated that place beyond all others. :oldrazz:

I wouldn't go back after the second time they forgot my order. If somehow I was there a third time and it happened I'd demand either a free meal or some kind of compensation nevermind going there over a dozen times.
