Ha! It's like people who mostly read one company and are only vaguely familiar with the other are falling for the attempts to grab new readers from the competition while being put off by the changes made to their favorite publisher.

Meanwhile, some of us who regularly read both Marvel and DC are just abandoning both publishers.
And others are sticking
At least until Flashpoint and Marvel Now

Not me, though. DC didn't grabbed me as new fan because of their 'DC 52' hype.

It's more like i was frustrated by Marvel because of their constant cross over events and the fact that they're keep cancelling books i like. So i gave DC a try. And now...i'm finding out that i'm liking their books more and more, which is something that i thought would never happened.

Currently, i'm a big fan of birds of prey, catwoman and supergirl just to name a few. And i stil lwould've like those books even if they're published by Dark horse or whatever.

Ha...I'm not quite a Marvel fan. I have not picked up a Marvel comic in nearly twenty years...probably longer. However, the MCU has been very entertaining, so I sometimes am curious about characters and would like to read some of their comic arcs. Plus when I hear people talking about the different characters and how they are portrayed in the comics, I'm curious to see what they are actually talking about. Though, that's not really enough to make me pick up a Marvel comic....lol.

Again, I have never been fond of Marvel characters outside of the MCU. I find them to be wierd...like plagued with a lot of issues. It turns me off, though I know for some this makes the characters more likable. Anyway, my issues with DC are more that I'm just tired of keeping up and most of the changes they have made I have seen at some point in time. I've been reading comics a LONG time. Now, I wait to read a good review and then I'll pick up that issue, but I'm not trying to read whole runs or anything like that anymore. I also think it's a time issue. My job is a lot more demanding.

hmm...though i still considered myself a comic fan, i'm not as big of a fan as i used to.

I almost never buy the monthlies anymore...only trades. Unless i REALLY likes the book and/or the character .The last comic that i buy every month was X-23.

So...from about 20 comics every month a few years ago...to just one:oldrazz:

I've never bought regular comic books. Mainly due to the fact I don't have a local comic store anywhere. I stick to Graphic Novels mainly cause I enjoy more self-contained stories when it comes to comics. Almost like a Film or TV Series. I can't stand long-going ridiculous retcon filled series.

I also don't have a local comic store, so i have to buy everything online.

This has become a bit of a fallacy nowadays. DC's characters have no more or less issues plaguing them than Marvel's. Both companies are basically the same. Yes, at one point it was true that DC had the idealized superhero and Marvel had the down-to-earth superhero, but this isn't the 1960's anymore. We have the internet now.

The Internet: The killer of hopes and dreams

Seriously. I know this kid, let's call him Kane12345 to protect his identity. He's a terrible person now that he has the internet. Just terrible.

F*** that guy, glad he's turrible.

lol....I was referring to Marvel comics in the 80s...they were turrible!

I've been reading comics digitally even before they invented ipad:oldrazz:

:lmao: Haha....lol. That would have been cool.

LOL...I was always scared of Article 134. This guy I knew went to Cap Mast because he was selling bootlegs he'd bought in Singapore on the ship. Plus since all communication and stuff was monitored....

I hate it when people complain or make jokes about the "friend zone."

I mean, yeah, unrequited love sucks. I've got no problem with someone venting their frustration about that situation in a healthy way. We've all been there, I get it. My problem isn't with that.

My problem is where a lot of people take it, and what the concept of the "friend zone" has become, especially in internet communities. Guys insinuating that there's something wrong with the women they're interested for not wanting to date them, acting like they deserve a relationship and that it's somehow immoral for a woman who's not romantically interested in a male friend of hers to set those boundaries. Crap like this:

And how pretty much every comment on posts of this image are along the lines of "this magazine should BURN":

That's not venting about a legitimately frustrating and heartbreaking situation. That's actively hating women. **** that ****.

Hey dudes, if you don't wanna be in the friend zone, don't be her friend. Maybe she's not into you that way and you need to shake her off and go find someone who is.

I hate when my brother starts his manga vs superhero comics debates
Always tries to prove he's right with flat views, defending bad series he enjoys, makes horrible points, and is too deep in the belief there is no good comic book art

Well his argument is pretty much invalid considering it's manga.

because art is completely objective.

...wait...it's the exact opposite of that.

I hate how some people say that you should be comfortable with who you are and comfortable in your own body yet if you're overweight they'll still tell you to lose weight.
