And you didn't get the job.....and that's how you learn humility.

When a package (namely, 3 expensive ones) you order, says they were delivered, but weren't. :csad:

I don't know what to do about this.

When your boyfriend wants to do role playing and chooses PR.

Heh..he would've given you the job!

But the question is, if you were in my position that day, would you have reacted the same way, or...

That time...i just moved to that city, quit my previous job and the job that i was promised wasn't there, so i was in a panic mode. I saw the ad for that job and thought; 'heh...a trained monkey could do this..how hard could it be? '

So when i got there, i just wasn't expecting that kind of job interview:oldrazz:

So frankly, when he asked me to write that,i dunno why exactly...but i felt insulted.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't think I would have reacted the same way simply because when I'm in panic mode to earn a living I over prepare for the job interview. I try too hard to be what I think they expect me to be, instead of being myself. So after they hire me they find out I'll respond to replies with riffs off of tunes (some more obscure than other). Though occassionally I will also make bad puns at someone else's expense (those come about a year after I get the job). Mind you I leven all that out by trying to come in to work with a smile each day and giving folks compliments.

The whole "why do you want this job" part of interviews for some jobs is just insane. When I was looking for my current retail job, I must have tried at least 20 or more other ones, and they all asked something along those lines. Do they really expect somebody to write a long, passionate, emotional speech about why they want to work in retail? I was always tempted to write "because I need money and there's a job going here".

This 100%

I think that's what i actually wrote on that form. Apparently needing money isn't motivational enough for them, so i didn't get the job back then.

I've zero problem explaining my motivations for job interviews, but for that kind of job...i just think it's silly. The kind of people that applied for that job didnt apply because it's their dream job and they're passionate about it...at least in most cases i should think ( and i don't mean it in a condescending way)

I think that most people would have done the same thing, honestly.

Yeah, I mean, I'd love to be able to professionally draw comic books for a living (whether or not I'm good enough is for other people to decide I guess) so if I was in an interview or filling an application for that, I'd put in way more effort. But I know I need a job for the time being, so I just applied for what was available. Filling shelves and helping customers at a DIY store isn't exactly what I want to do forever, but it's a source of income.

I hate that too because it could be one of those things damned if you do or don't. If you have one of those stern interviewers that look for any reason against hiring you that's their set up. If you say, "Well I need the money." They'll use it against you by saying that you only care about money instead of the company's success. If you give a long speech that's passionate and inspiring about how you want to help the company grow they'll either say that you are ********ting them or that you would try to overstep your boundaries if they gave you the job.:whatever:

I hate that I have to find a nice way to review this super amateurish short story a girl in my creative writing class wrote. It's just awful and I don't want to hurt her feelings.

I hate that I'm completely lost in a statistics class I'm taking. Why am I still in school? :whatever:

I hate that I can't watch Derren Brown or any other magician/illustionist without constantly thinking 'EVERYTHING you're saying is a bunch of lies!'

I hate how some people have such bad taste in film. I can't believe the new Resident Evil made that much money over the weekend.

We all mourn :(

I hate not having more time. Give me time....MORE!

When a poll says "cast your vote" and hit you with the "closed poll" door
Closed poll shouldn't look like they're open for voting

I hate the construction that's popped up on my route to work. Every travel option has damn construction going on.

Which is why management should be paying the baggers. It's not fair to say that you're getting paid in tips only for a position that's not usually tipped.

they don't work for us, they're private contractors

i hate when someone quotes 10 pictures to comment on one.
