E3 2016

I want to hold Popillio's head from moving

Why the hell Nintendo thought streaming this much Pokemon footage, when the core game is virtual identical to all the others, is beyond me. They show off that amazing Zelda footage and then completely **** the bed with this boring, boring footage. Nintendo can't help but shoot themselves in the foot.

Well they were only going to do Zelda, but then people complained. :funny:

I don't dislike Pokemon, but this getting in between me and the new Zelda is making me ****ING HATE Pokemon.

What? I tuned out after 15 minutes and took care of some work stuff. I just got back now to see Pokemon and thought the video wasn't live.

Have they seriously spent all this time on Pokemon?

Pokemon is one of their megafranchises. You may not like it or care for it, but showing it only puts eyes on their stream. It's a much bigger franchise than Zelda is, frankly, so it's probably helping Zelda more than anything if it manages to keep some eyes for that footage.

A tad ironic, though I don't think this is quite what people had in mind for showing more games. They didn't mean interrupt the Zelda reveal with a jarringly long Pokemon demo.

This is too much on Pokemon. There's really nothing that a Pokemon game can offer that'd make for a good live demo. Pokemon is pokemon. The formula is very much intact.

I have been playing Pokemon since I was 8 years old back in the Red & Blue days. I've played them all. I'm very much a Pokemon fan, but you have to admit that this stream is kinda painful thus far.

I am going to say I honestly doubt this. Mainly as Pokemon while arguably the biggest Nintendo franchise, I can't imagine it being a big E3 game simply based on how it shows and the fanbase.

Yeah, unless they were gonna really change things up there was no need to go on this long, a trailer would've sufficed.

It may be for us, but I guarantee a lot are out there eating this up. Pokemon will get get eyes on the stream.

Aw, it's over... i needed more pokemon reveals! :cmad:

Pokemon has a lot of bled over into the core audience. A lot of people are always clamoring for Pokemon at E3.

The lack of new Pokemon reveals was a major disappointment. If you're gonna show off a new Pokemon game it should probably have some new Pokemon.

Call of Duty is also a very big deal, but when it's being presented they know not to go on and on and on about it because they understand it's probably not what people are really interested in.

Yeah, Pokemon, like CoD, has a formula that has more or less been the same for years, they don't need to show huge amounts of gameplay for people to know what to expect from it.

Core audiences don't really watch Nintendo Treehouse. The main Zelda trailer on YT has over 107,000 views in less then 45 mins. Honestly think that is the main attraction today.
